Hello everyone, the title might be a little misleading, but I had to get your attention a little and get you to look at my thread... sorry lol

I have a few niches that I'm very curious about how they will do, but I was wondering if it was a good idea to share them here with everyone to get your opinions. Or is it a better idea to keep them to myself and pursue them and see where they take me.

really looking for advice.

Do proper keyword research on the niche ideas whether they have sufficient number of searches or not.
If the niche ideas look new to you, keep them to yourself rather than sharing on public forum.

Let's use for example one of my niche ideas that everyone is familiar with. Weight management/weight loss. I have been moderating diets for myself and workouts for almost 10 years now, I know this quite well as well as a hobby. I have my own approach to dieting which includes eating chocolate during your diet. I know how to implement this twice a week and still lose weight.

Now let's say I want to go ahead with this specific idea (not saying it is the one I will actually go with, just using an example). Where do I go from here? This is where I get stuck. What do i do with this now?

Or maybe can someone direct me to a thread that had the same question asked? What the next steps are?

I think it is depende upon your personal interest and also on that topic about that you have lots of knowledge. You should use Google Keyword Planner tool for choosing a better niche as per choice.

No competition usually means no demand.

Any niche that does't have much competition raises a red flag to me. Often means no money to be made.

There's few very untapped niches out there that "no one else" knows about.

Competition is a fantastic thing as it usually means lots of demand, lots of products on sale and more being released all the time , lots of people advertising, lots of affiliates in the niche, an easy to find target audience, lots of blogs / forums / social media groups, lots of people to network with etc.

Fantastic news for anyone looking to get into a niche.

Keyword research is not sufficient market research.

You can't base your niche decisions simply off keyword volumes.

There's much more to it than that.

You have to assess demand, products on sale, how easy it is to reach your target audience, where you're going to get traffic for, what your angle / USP is going to be and more.

There's very few 'new' niches. They are just new to you.

Simply choosing "weight loss" is too broad.

          That's not a niche it's a market.

You need to find a sub-niche or unique approach within the weight loss market.

Maybe weight loss for people who like to eat chocolate is a niche ha ha.

Google Keyword Tool is great for finding keyword volumes but that's not all you should be looking at and you shouldn't be basing all your research around keyword volumes or how easy a tool tells you it is to rank in the search engines.

Don't focus on SEO traffic only as there's no guarantee with it and it's unpredictable.

Pick a niche where you have a wider range of traffic options you can use and you've much more chance of success.

So you have an idea. That's the easy part. Now you want to determine how you want to implement it. In a book, a blog that you can monetize. A video giving advice, etc. Right now your question is very vague and abstract.

You need to do some self-examination and reflection. Which direction do you want to take it? Based on your personal goals, talents, experience, connections, passions, etc.

Sounds like you need to do some more reading, study and research. Right now asking for advice on a forum and getting hordes of different suggestions could only confuse you more. An abstract, vague question will get you abstract and vague advice.

Start a blog in that niche. Start a Facebook page, link the two. Write a book, write articles for the blog/ FB, write a short report to give away to get people to sign up and eventually purchase your book. Some things to consider to start with.

If you keep it to yourself, i will find it anyway and make money with it. If you share, somebody (not me) will take the idea and run with it. It's up to you. I think you should share though.

Mentioning your niche idea will likely have no real effect on YOUR success.

Guaranteed if there's money in the niche there's already a ton of people making it.

If there's no one making money in the niche there's probably very little to be made.

Even if someone here does go off and get involved it won't impact much on what YOU do.

Most people never take action however and will write your idea off as "too hard / not interested in it / don't like that niche / don't know anything about it / insert reason here" and do nothing with it.
