Can direct linking tee spring campaign ban my fb account?

Lately I have been reading a lot on tee spring ads being rejected or accounts getting banned because of direct linking tee spring campaigns in fb ads.

Is this true?

If yes, what is the safest way around this?

Thanks

I haven't heard of this. It seems like just about every Teespring ad I see on FB is direct linking. I would think FB would be shooting itself in the foot if they started disallowing Teespring ads that direct link or banning accounts. There would be a huge loss in ad revenue for them. Although they have done stranger things in the past...

I saw a few videos on teespring on youtube that said many people are now not direct linking as either the facebook ad is getting rejected or they are facing some or the other problem with their account.

Some are using redirecting options. Is it a safe thing to do?

What is the safest way to do redirecting for tee spring campaigns.

Thanks a lot for the reply guys.

hmmm,.. All my Teespring campaigns are using direct links on FB ads. I don't think it would be a problem since it doesn't violate anything...

Could you share an example of one of your ads?

I have tried 5 different times with different accounts and credit cards over time (not all at once)...
Each time my ad was approved and less than an hour later my ad account was cancelled
as well as my Facebook account.
This is very sad and frustrating, after I have read about and seen videos of people supposedly making hundreds of sales via Facebook ads directly linked to Teespring.

It might have something to do with Facebook only allowing 1 account. They crack down on people with more than 1.

Facebook make up the rules as they go along I think. Just looking at them the wrong way can get your account banned.

It's a shame too as their targeting is incredible! I just hate how finicky they are with paid ads.

Got me banned. But it was probably because my t-shirt design was, edgy..

Me and some others were testing to see if people would by absurd and edgy products, just because it made them laugh, but it got us banned

Haven't had any problems with Facebook yet with Teespring. Just working on creating successful campaigns...

I've never had a problem with direct linking to my Teespring campaigns. There is always two sides to a side, so people tend to leave out certain details. Way too many people use copyrighted images for their Teespring shirts, and that could be the reason why FB blocks them. Alot of people also make multiple accounts, just to use $50 ad credits. People try to game the system then cry when they get banned.

I always direct link, and have never had any blocked.

Most TeeSpring sellers would be direct linking so that's not going to get your account shut down.

But it doesn't hurt to use a redirect. Some people choose to use a redirect so they can relaunch a successful campaign using the same ad (so they don't lose all the social proof) and also because sometimes links like TeeSpring come up with a warning on certain mobile devices, which can have a negative impact on your conversion.s

I direct link all of my campaigns on Facebook and haven't had a problem yet. Considering the amount of money Facebook is making off of Teespring marketers, I doubt they would have a problem with it unless you're selling shirts that violate their TOS.

In the scheme of things, the money they would be making from TeeSpring marketers would be peanuts. So it's definitely no guarantee of anything. If they don't like what TeeSpring marketers are doing they can (and would) get rid of them in a heart beat.

Companies like Facebook would much rather sell majority of their ad inventory to a small number of big businesses rather than having to deal with thousands and thousands of marketers spending little budgets.

That's what happened back in the day with Adwords. They got sick of dealing with all the thousands of marketers causing them huge headaches and spending very little money, so they just got rid of them all and banned a ton of accounts.

Don't think Facebook won't do the same in the future. So it's important that advertisers are always giving Facebook exactly what they want.

I agree with you that Facebook would cut Teespring marketers off in heartbeat if they felt it would be beneficial to their bottom line. I remember when Google purged Adwords back in the day and from a business point of view, I understand completely why they did it. It was taking away from the end user's experience and costing them money because people were getting tired of clicking on links that took them to low-quality landing pages instead of actual content.

While any single Teespring marketer doesn't have a budget anywhere near the big boys in the industry, I've got to wonder what the aggregate of all the marketers combined is. I know what I spend per day and while it's insignificant on its own, combine that with just 1,000 other marketers spending close to the same and it's no longer an insignificant amount. I also wonder what Teespring spends on retargeting because I'm constantly seeing retargeted ads from Teespring in the RH column.
