Hello Warriors, I need some tips on easy ways to make money online, my little brother just graduated high school and right now is doing absolutely nothing but to surf the internet, he is 17 and have no experience so its hard for him to find a job. he is going to go to university so he really need to spend his time making money.

Please list some of the easy, labor intensive, time consuming, BUT sure ways to make a few bucks, not cents, Dollars, I've heard about fiverr and some of the services people can offer, I suggested he provide a service where he can take the backgrounds off of pictures for items sold online, I'll teach him how to do it.

Also, I always hear about filling surveys, watching videos, write articles etc do you have any legit websites where they pay decent and as promised?

Please make some new, cool and fun ways to make a little bit of money

Again, this for my 17 year old brother with no job experience, but he is a smart kid and can learn on his own.

Thank you so much!!

You are correct that in Europe he will need to be 18. He's going to university, so that would imply that he will be 18 soon?

If you're looking for guaranteed income and he's not in it for the long haul, I think he's better off getting a regular job. Perhaps some people have instant success, but for most internet marketing is like any other business in that it takes time to develop and grow.

Not sure where you live, but in the US, if he were to work 40 hours/week for the summer before going to university, he'd make about $3,500 -- even at minimum wage. Ask how many people here made $3,500 in their first three months. I'm guessing not many -- I sure didn't!

I'm also doubtful that someone without any real work experience will have an easy time starting a business. There are certainly natural entrepreneurs out there (or at least naturally lucky people), but for most people, the learning and experience from a regular job is invaluable to knowing how to create a successful business. Even if you're only learning what NOT to do!

Search Google for a list of different online services/gigs
to get an idea whats to offer online....

Also browse some services/gigs offer sites like Fiverr,
Odesk, Microworkers, Freelancer ect. and get a feel
for the market, and see if he can find anything he
would be capable and enjoy to do.

He could also try Service Arbitrage....

Search for service requests in the given sites above,
outsource it by finding cheaper service providers
on Fiverr. Set your price higher, deliver the service and profit.

Once he has success, and make money, let him create
training material on how he did it and sell it online.

Given the fact that he is 17, help him out creating
the needed accounts in your name.

Good luck and all the best....

When my nephew graduated high school, and his only skill was "surfing the internet", I set-up an account in my name, and I had him sell all of our used stuff, as well as neighbors used stuff on Ebay.

It doesn't sound like much, but it was a full-time job, and by the end of summer he was making $350/week....not to shabby from just posting stuff you don't want.

We used our neighborhood facebook group to get stuff from neighbors

With Ebay, beware of the sellers fees.....that's the one thing that got us when we started.

      Good luck!

The best way to make money is (drum-roll please.....) to add value to others.

And the best way to do that is to know what you are naturally inclined towards (and hopefully even sort of enjoy doing) and line it up with a need that others have.

So first question is: what is his personality like? What sort of work can you see him doing good at and even enjoying?

  • If he's interested in making money online and Internet marketing let him join the WF. If he know any computer stuff like programming/coding or design. Let him create a product and sell it for $7 - $10 as WSO.

I would advise him to start selling some sort of service. Fiverr is a good place to start, but he could also start looking at some of the major freelancing sites out there. I would try to avoid selling a creative service unless he already possesses a skill because these types of services take the longest to learn. If he is good at writing, then making money writing articles is a good start.

First of all, what are his skills?

Does he write well? If so, he can apply at CrowdSource.com. The company is accepting new applicants. The site pays as much as $11.25 for a 225-word article.

If he can transcribe audio files (interviews, etc.) and if he can borrow or buy a transcription foot pedal, he may want to apply at Rev.com. The site pays 40 to 50 cents per audio minute. He needs to have a typing speed of at least 60 words per minute. (10FastFingers.com can help him improve his typing speed.)

He'll need a PayPal account for both jobs.

Transcription is simple enough. Scribie.com is good if you have no experience... They accept anyone. He could also try writing for textbroker. He could also try becoming a VA. There are many sites where one can apply to be a VA. just google. When trying to make money online you're gonna have to start at the bottom of the barrel until you have a portfolio and can prove that you're worthy of higher paying jobs.

Wow so many great ideas thank you guys, i honestly dont know what he wants to do but i was hoping to inspire him and give him a few start ideas, he will be 18 soon but for now he can run everything under my name and bank account.

I was thinking services on fiverr are the best thing for him but ill suggest the other stuff too.

Problem with the current time is that for a young guy with no work experience is very difficult to find a job and even if he does he can also earn money online on the side. Its bad enough for older people with experience.

And there is also the idea of starting a blog and creating a list, only problem is these kind of things are for the long haul, he wont be making much right off the bat, if he started to do the little grunt work he might learn enough to work on these things.

I appreciate every idea out here and i hope we get more suggestions as this will help many many people.

Great advice from everyone here. I notice you mentioned starting a blog and building a list. That's not as direct as providing a service, but it will certainly enable him to start monetizing it soon if he does it right. Also, it's something he can expand and make into a very nice business. The key to all this, of course, is to (1) do it right (2) do it consistently, ie., daily.

I would recommend Fiverr for quick money. set up many different gigs offering loads of different services and you can get orders within hours. If you set up a blog you wont get any money from that for a long time. With fiverr its worth looking at the gigs that are working now with the high ratings a most orders and just duplicate in your own way their success. If you provide excellent customer service you will stand out from out from everyone else.

The easiest and surest way to make money is to sell a service. The service can be anything your brother can do or is good at. As you already mentioned fiverr is a good place to start.

I would browse a couple of the sites to get ideas of what he can offer/sell. Go to Fiverr, odesk, elance, as well as the sub forums here at WarriorForum:

    Warriors For Hire
Wanted - Members Looking To Hire You

Once he find what hes going to offer its all about getting the first couple customers and making sure he gets good reviews. Never be afraid to ask a customer for a review, just don't try to persuade what type of review they give.

Your brother can start by freelancing. It is the easiest way to make a buck online. If he can write articles, post blog comments, taken phone calls etc. He can easily make money. Starting a blog is also an easy way t build reputation and promote your products or affiliate.

You can check some microjobs sited like MicroWorkers.com . It's one of the fastest ways I know though the payout is very low. If you like in the US then you can check some offers completion sites where the traders pay $10-$20+ for completing an offer.

MechanicalTurk is also a good microjob site for people living in the US

    Hope that helps!

What does he like to do? Have him start a small business buying and selling items he knows about. Video games? Skate Boards, Clothes?

I know of a kid, now a man, who believe it or not at age 12 bought and sold video games, systems, comics, toys at a local flea market. He did quite well for many, many, years, well past high school. He had tons of stuff , friends that worked for him and an online business in addition to two locations at flea markets in booths.

If you brother has a few bucks , some broke friends that need cash and can negotiate a sweet deal on re-sellable good stuff. He can make money selling on E-Bay or ??? That is how you start, then go to garage sales, flea markets and develop a name for buying certain things for cash. People will find you. Use Craigslist to place adds for things to re-sell also, just be careful.

There certainly are ways of making money, LOTS of money online. I work for a company called Base2trade.com. What we do is train and manage clients to be able to trade the financial markets. For a small £250 deposit we can help you turn that into £2500 in a month. If you or anyone else are interested in this fantastic opportunity, please feel free to email me at daniel@base2trade.com. When your brother turns 18, tell him to look me up. I look forward to hearing from you.

I think there is no easy way to make money instant. You need to work smart consistently to earn money online. I have started my online work in 2007 on blogger. For me it took 2 years to get success and now i am full time blogger. Create a website around a hot niche and posts daily one article. After 4-6 months you will make money if your site ranks well. I prefer this for a newbie if he wants to spend less amount.

He needs to assess his strengths, marry them to his passions, and offer the combination of the two to others at a fair price.

I am a writer, for the most part, and I can easily make a living freelancing, via content mills and self-publishing.

I see the vast wealth of knowledge that teens already have about technology and wish I were young and didn't have to juggle an online career with a full time, busy family life, but even though I'm later to the scene than some, I have still managed to make enough money to pay the bills in just two and a half years online.

Best of luck to you, and your brother!

I started internet marketing when I was 18 and I can assure you it's a long, difficult, and incredibly worthwhile road to take. It was the best career I could have hoped for.

However, if your question is how to make a quick buck, there are plenty of short-term gains to be made and web marketing might not be the best choice. If you're serious about and are willing to put in the time, my advice to anyone would be to find a good mentor. I found mine through my University and I encourage anyone to do the same.
