Domain names like that do not make money.

Sometimes, with a lot of hard work, businesses built on domain names like that could make money.

It is the same old story you have heard a thousand times though.

Find a niche, develop a product (or affiliate to one), deliver value to prospective customers, then sell them something.

No shortcuts, particularly with a mediocre or crappy name,

The only way i can see you make a lot of money with this domain is creating a super converting product. It won't be good to build a business around this domain...

But there is always an exception especially f the owner/OP is willing to do the hardest work on content and SEO.

Sure - that's fair. But in that case, (a) the value isn't coming from the domain-name at all, and (b) you'd still clearly be better off starting with a better domain-name in the first place?

I would... and I don't mind abandoning a domain after a year if I find it unsuitable.

This is one of the biggest concerns of most of us here.Registering a domain we think useful but after sometime, we realise that the domain does not make any sense at all. That's why it is very important to give more time before registering a domain. It's just $10 but its still worth a lot if properly used on fiverr.

A simple tip on picking a domain (for the op and others).

1. If you find a domain that you think useful, do a domain history search in order to find out if the domain has been registered before.

2. If the domain has been registered before, check archive.org to check what content that domain had before.

3. Do a research why it is still available despite being a good domain (according to you)

4. Don't register it right away unless you are 100% sure of its quality after doing keyword research. If you are not sure, just include it in your wishlist so can review from time to time.Good decision making takes time.

One last thing, as much as possible, don't register a domain if it's not a com.The man reasons are (1.) other extensions are not popular (2) not com domains are hard to brand or not brandable at all.

To Brainstorm on possible ways to monetize its a good idea to brainstorm as many possibilities then compile those ideas into products or create a membership site or get a partner to first help you visualize and flush the ideas into seeds which will create the food and shelter for your members or newsletter. I would take a 3 prong R&D into Sports Medical and Celebrity Markets for instance your idea should of the local scalable to international. Where you first research the number of Plastic Surgeons, Gyms, Weight loss Centers, Build your list of Trainers, Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, Chiropracters in local areas statewide then by city. Make your research your first contact. GIve them free membership and discounted advertising during your startup JV with their list for your guide or the Sexyab product. Since its a .org org your immediate connect should be with "others of your kind" Most like other .orgs but different. Membership with sexyabs shows you those benefits. Try to visualize the testimonials you want to see. Create a fitness/hot girls themed instagram profile. Fitness niche is very popular on insta.
Or try to create a profile on likes.com.

Add your website to your insta/likes profiles, grow profiles (maybe by buying shoutouts).

I would go down the content site route:

1. Get a good PLR package on weight loss and use it to create a WP site.
2. Get some CPA/affiliate/Adsense ads on it.
3. Drive traffic and tweak to improve conversions bit by bit. Reinvest income into more potent advertising.
4. Worst case scenario, sell on Flippa as an established traffic generating site and get some valuable experience creating/managing a site.

You might not be able to become a worldwide authority in the Fitness world with this domain name, but you can definitely build an audience and make some good cash.

Start by building a good-looking and well optimized website and by adding quality, unique and well-researched articles.

Learn some SEO and implement it, build some backlinks...make connections with other blogs, write guest posts and so on.

Also participate on Fitness forums, build a Facebook page, do some s4s with other popular pages, get involved in discussions and always send people back to your website.

Here you will offer a Free "Six Pack" report and will slowly build your e-mail list. First you can promote a Clickbank product that teaches you how to get a six pack, and as time goes you can promote any product in the Fitness niche (including muscle building programs, healthy recipes, get rid of back pain etc).

I know that this is the hard and slow way, but it definitely works on the long run (2-3 years). Have a list of tasks and do them each and every day, then adjust things as you get more experienced.

There's a relatively small number of domains (actually, it's fairly large, but not when considering the total number of domains available) that will "earn" just by being a domain. Those are very expensive domains and are mostly one word dictionary word domains in the .com version and sometimes in the .net version. It is very expensive to acquire them, sometimes in the millions of dollars.

Yours isn't one of those. You'd need to develop it to make it worth anything.

That name doesn't go well with the ORG extension if you plan to make money just out of the domain name alone. However, you can create an affiliate site around it in the weight loss niche and make money.

cool name. I am not sure how much money you can make in regards to that website name but definitely a cool name. I know there will be a lot of folks who want nice looking abs so depending on the quality of your site, it should be a nice one for you.
