What are your favourite Internet marketing blogs?

I'm embarrassed to say there isn't a single one I read on a daily basis. I'm not even sure there's one I read on a weekly basis.

Whenever I find big, well-known, acclaimed "internet marketing blogs" they seem to fall into the same pattern, for me (though this perhaps says as much about me as it does about the blogs themselves): I look at the (usually small) proportion of the content which is about the few IM-related matters I really feel I do know and understand in some depth, from successful experience of my own, and I always seem to find (a) several factually incorrect statements and (b) some very questionable logic/reasoning. And that usually puts me off all the rest of their content, my thinking being something like "If the bits I actually know about aren't reliable at all, why should I trust the rest"? Perhaps sometimes unfair, and unkind of me, I know.

And yet, I think it illustrates a "basic problem" of "internet marketing sites, too"? Given the very small proportion of internet marketers who ever become really "successful" (and whoever's figures one believes, I think we can all agree that that's so, can't we?), it isn't really surprising that quite a bit of the "information" out there is actually "misinformation".

When you add to that the problem that so many people make the howling mistake of starting off in IM-related and MMO-related niches as a way to try to earn some initial money online themselves, the overall quality of information available isn't too hot.

Whenever threads like this start off (and there's ... what? ... at least one thread per month initiating such a discussion? ... and often a few more?), I usually look through all the sites listed in it, comprising as they do many that I've seen before and a few that are new to me, and am usually still disappointed. Just being honest, here.

Let's hope this thread produces some more interesting and even more accurate offerings?

"Getting reliable information" is a real problem for aspiring marketers. Personally, I always try to advise beginning marketers to try to get their information from people who aren't promoting or selling anything and offering "information" as an aid to that process and for that purpose. And I must say (although I know there are some exceptions to this, of course) that among the perhaps-unrepresentative and small cross-section of internet marketers whom I know really well, the most successful almost all have nothing - I mean as marketers themselves - to do with "IM advice" or "MMO-related" niches at all. And in my heart I strongly suspect that's more true, and more widely so, than most of us ever acknowledge ... and that there are reasons for it, too.

Mine favorite IM blog is problogger and I am a daily reader of it. The post are written very well and Darren has put his personal touch to every post.

Actually I search my desired topics daily in the search engine. Of course I read many blog on a topic, but I do not follow any blog daily. I read many many blog, I spend many times by reading blog. The blog can increase our knowledge.

I haven't (except for occasional search results) in a few years when I used to read Entrepreneur's Journey.

After I got a handle on it enough, I went my own way. I still don't agree with most IMers on most anything.

The best info. I find on the subject of marketing is right here on WF. It usually doesn't come in the form of "thread starters" or even necessarily marketing related threads. It's just listening to people share their experience.

I've probably learned more practically useful info. from "why was my thread deleted" threads. It doesn't happen any more but we used to get senior members discussing fascinating (to me) aspects of online business in these threads.

I think the real skill for newbies to be successful is figuring out who to listen to.

Copyblogger.com, probably the only one at the time.

I've been learning a ton from this guy. He's at the blogging level I want to be at in a few months, so I'm modeling him fairly closely.

Have a few more in my Feedly I sometimes read if they sound interesting.

Listen to TropicalMBA, TheMcMethod, and EmpireFlipper podcasts too. A few more, but only when they have certain guests on I want to listen to.
