Fast forward to earlier today. I'm reading an email from a well known marketer who I've bought several things from in the past. Of course, I go into this having no intention of buying anything. This guy gives away great information sometimes, so I figured I should probably open it to see what's up. It'll only take a minute, right?
The next thing I know I've bought another product, got about a half dozen freebie bonuses, there's crap all over my desktop (again) and I have a brand new Paypal receipt to add to my 2014 collection.
I'm NOT happy with myself! It's not the marketer's fault, though. His email did exactly what it was supposed to do - get the click. I'm not going to ask for a refund. The product(s) are top notch.
My issue is that I did it AGAIN and even though the products are high quality, they're NOT part of my battle plan.
As a result, I just went through every email and either unsubscribed or redirected them to a different email inbox where they won't be in my face every day.
I also created a handful of files and completely cleared my desktop of almost everything that's not directly related to what I'm trying to accomplish. It feels liberating, but I'm not done yet. There are more unsubscribes to be done.
Anyhoo...there's no one to blame but myself. Hopefully someone else will read this and not jump on the next BSO (Bright, Shiny, Object).
