I have been around the internet for quite a while but have just begun to build a list. What is the most effective ways to drive qualified traffic to your squeeze page?

There is no "BEST". It depends on the niche and it's all a matter of trying, testing, tracking and scaling .

  Seems that I am in the same boat as you...just started building my list. You need to incorporate many different ways until you find the few that work the best for you. Right now I am trying safe lists and funnel clicks. Good luck

  Yes if you are paying for traffic to build a list and you can break even, then you're doing an awesome job because you're bulding a list you can market to over and over again for free.
  
  That being said, it's not easy to achieve but it can be done if you take the time to test your funnel. But there's certain things you can do in your funnel setup that will decrease the testing phase a lot, by using tactics which automatically increase your conversions, for instance choosing a high converting offer and creating a free report aroun that. Maybe a case study and show results on how it will improve the prospects business. If peope see real life results they will be more likely to buy

Paid traffic and advertising will get you the best leads as you can target a specific group of people, people that are more likely to be interested in your offer. You don't need a million, vaguely-interested hits, you need a few hundred extremely excited and hard working hits.

I've seen people drive traffic via Craigslist ads. However, those eventually get flagged as spam.

Hey,

I would say that PPC, in my opinion, is the best way to drive traffic to a squeeze page. Everyone has many different methods but this is what works for me.

It is fast, it is easy (once you get the hang of it), and it can bring in a great R.O.I from quality customers. In other words, buying traffic that is targeted is a fast and effective way to build a list.
