All,

Top tips for the squeeze page, from my research I have found so far:

- Keep it simple
- A headline to inspire action
- Ensure color formatting

Do we people have anything further?

Thanks
Tom

Including numbers in your headline is always an effective means of drawing in the visitor

If your offer can be accessed instantly after subscribing, mention their ability to get instant gratification.

If you have a privacy notice in the opt-in form, just the mention of the word "spam" can deter sign ups, even if it states "We never spam!". Try rewording to include: "Your Privacy is Guaranteed."

These are just some pointers I picked up after reading through several different A/B split testing case studies. Obviously, they are open to change on a case-by-case basis.

It totally depends upon what you are try to achieve along with where the traffic is coming from plus knowing whether the traffic is warm or cold !
Meaning if you are just trying to build a list... Then you are going to find out that just collecting an email address will be the most effective ...

Now if you are trying to gather leads for a a local business and advertising with adwords for traffic then the squeeze page models that you are talking about will not work or be allowed ..

But in general your squeeze pages should have
A headline with curiosity and largest benefit of your product ..

    Then subhead line
With How it could improve their lives with your product.
I like to use a Image that shows some kind of Result Or luxury item on the page somewhere ...

    Some bullet points consisting of.
Benefits of results of your product with curiosity

    Then ...
Call to action going to your opt in box what you want them to do
    Example
Just Enter Your Best Email Address Below To Get Started Right Away !

Once again all of this depends upon what kind of information I am after and where I am generating traffic ..

Excellent! You have the basics packed down which is great! The basics you just stated are the main points to a successful squeeze page. Another great point you will want to consider is the fact that video squeeze pages convert much better than simple text squeeze pages.

So all the people who have split-tested video squeeze-pages and reverted to their original text-only versions because the video ones converted fewer visitors are hallucinating, or deluded, or just lying, are they?

Please forgive me singling your post out, but you have a very frequently repeated habit of flatly stating things as if they're simply universal and factual, when they're actually far from it, and it can be really misleading to others.

The reality is that some people find that video squeeze pages convert better and others find the opposite.

It's one of the many things people should test for themselves
      .

It typically depends on their traffic demographics, the niche, what attracted people to the squeeze page in the first place, and some other factors, too.

      "Just saying".

      .

I have to agree with Alexa on this.

You don't know what results you're truly going to get until you TEST
        things out for yourself!

There are just TOO many factors involved that can produce the goods
on any given day or be a COMPLETE FLOP the next.

That's kinda like saying that life is just Black & White.

Besides TESTING and producing your own results is much more
fulfilling and rewarding too compared to just following the heard.

        Great job as usual Alexa,

Yeah i think keeping it simple is the way to go.

If i check your squeeze page, you have a great call to action, but i would suggest to put something above that in the form of a question, so the format is:
    - Question = Problem people have
    - Solution = Call to action

It's all in the details but getting the details straight will increase your conversions.

  • I Found that keeping your squeeze page as short as possible makes a huge difference to your results. Keep it short and simple.

I'd say that bullet points that showcase what's inside make a big difference

Read through some squeeze pages that interested you and go through those. It can allow you to see what makes you want to put in your email.

    Again, keep it short.

Make sure people don't need to scroll down to read your entire squeeze page. I always create my squeeze pages with one sentence and an image.

I simple tell the visitor what they will get when they optin in one single sentence.

I have 3 squeeze pages that I using right now and they are converting at...

    53.6%
    53.3%
    54.4%

I have come across putting my own image/signature on my squeeze page has increase my opt-in rates.. Also, using a white background has become the best options for me..

Plus, use Johnson's Box on your web-form to grab your visitors attention..

I just ran my first split test between two different squeeze pages. Both were "professional" in that they were optimizepress templates. It was quite interesting to me that the one page had 98% more opt-ins than the other page. Shows the power of testing.

I'm going to analyze the differences besides the graphics. The one with the higher opt-in did have "social proof" (testimonials). I'll refine the test further now by taking the higher performing one and trying small variation of it.

Step 1: Just make a squeeze page using what you think is the best design.

Step 2: Make one change and split test it.

Step 3: Pick the better performing page, and make one change to that page.

Step 4: Go back to Step 2, indefinitely, until you're out of ideas to test.

It's the only way to be sure. People can say "Oh, this works better than that" all day, but it's all BS unless someone has extensive experience with your exact market. Implement, test, refine, repeat.

Spot on. I've just bolded the line that no one wants to do, but that's the only way to go for best results.

You have to sell your squeeze page free offer like you would a paid offer. People wont sign up for something just because it's free.

For some reason the colors blue and green get me better optins. I tested with golden and blanck, black and orange combination against a white background, but blue and green worked better. I think those are kinda happy, yet professional colors.
