Membership Site or Optin?

I'd like to start a membership site which is free for members, but essentially I'm wondering if I shouldn't just have an optin for people wanting what I'm going to offer?

I've got some scripts that I don't fully understand which is why perhaps I'll just have the optin.

I have been searching for some information, which is why I've forgotten that I have DLGuard so perhaps I should focus on using that?

All and any advice is much appreciated.

    Brian, check out Russell Brunson's MicroContinuity. I think it a much better plan that membership sites.
