do video sells?

I am starting to promote few products at clickbank and I see that many of them have video at the land page, and I wonder does it work? What is the conversion rate for landing page that the video make the sell? is it better? worse? or it dosen't matter?

    Video sales pages don't convert my traffic (that's across 9 different niches) and I almost refuse to send any of my traffic to them, now.

    My subscribers hate video sales pages and say so often, without even being asked.

    I'm not alone.

    (It's probably a lot less damaging in IM/MMO niches, I suspect. I don't promote those, and obviously wouldn't use ClickBank for them, even if I did.)

    Anyway, if you're asking as a potential vendor, the bottom line is that you have to test for yourself, to know what sells well for you.

    Video salespage does not convert much because the points stay for a while in ordinary salespage
    the buyer can read the important points again and again and you can highlight specific parts to get even more attention and many devloping countries still have bandwidth problems so the video will play slowly
    and many people will not have the time to go through to the end. so for the time being stick with ordinary sales page but include a link to your video sales copy , also you can post the video at tube sites to get more exposer.

    Yes, text landing pages work slightly better for too, and the reason is video playing problems

    I'd suggest you to test.

    It's so easy to setup A/B split test.

    Send 50% of traffic to text version and 50% to video.

    Then judge what converts better for YOUR traffic.

    You will also need at least 1000 people to get some idea.

    In my humble opinion a video makes a great backlink to your site. Make sure and get it on the bigger social media sites, as well as youtube and other video sites. Keep them from 30 seconds to 1 minute.

    Sorry I'm a little off the subject of your op, but videos can help you increase your traffic to the sales page.

    I have found that video is a big plus, and not a minus. However, do not have a typical sales man... use humor to sell your product or service. OK so here is an example for you.

    Videos do convert. Text converts also. It's horses for courses and that's why it is vital that you don't just assume something because of someone else's results. You need to test it with your own audience.

    An example is that someone might say video does not convert. But all they have tested is a page with a video on it. That's not to say that having a text salespage with a video at the top won't convert better.

    There have also been people who say having a video sales page and then a link under it saying 'In a Hurry? Click here for text version" converts better also.

    So never assume anything based on what others say. You need to create some variations like the ones above and test them against each other to see what resonates with your audience the most.
