How to make a money, if i'm a designer?

Hello warriors,

I'm web designer and also have an experience working on bigger projects, which involve designer skills. Today it's pretty hard for me to find any suitable job to make money, so i need your advice. Please suggest me any good website for promoting my skills and also other methods to achieve my goal and become well known designer.

    Did you have a look at the major freelancer sites? Lots of work there, but also tough competition.

    Creating a thread here is a great idea...

    Also - I would try scraping craigslist with a third party tool. I'm not talking about "scraping emails", but just searching for all threads/posts seeking graphic design help. Then contacting them via their written instructions.

    You say you are a "web designer" which means someone who makes websites or lays out the designs in Photoshop. You need an excellent portfolio and strong track record, positive client reviews and word of mouth. You need an excellent site. Isn't this basic 101?

    In addition to creating a thread here in the Warriors for Hire section, you can also advertise your web design services by posting on Craigslist.

    Also start reaching out to as many people as you can who are already posting on CL actually looking for someone to do web design for them.

    Sign up with sites like Elance and any top freelance site and build your portfolio and profile.

    That's one great way people start.

    And if you have the skills you can create your own site and promote it vigorously.

    You have an awesome technical skill. A lot of new warrior lacks those skills on which you can capitalize. I thing you can start off with the classified section of this forum and put out job postings. Then you can start building your portfolio.
