Ideas for affilate site plan, not sure if its good?

I am making a web page for a niche product, it is not an info product, I have an idea for the way I want everything setup when people arrive at the site, I just don't know if its any good, so i am asking for advice. So here is my idea anyways.

Squeeze Page
I want to make a simple squeeze page, with some bullet points about the products, there will be 2 products, and have an e-mail opt in, giving away a free report or 5 free articles about the niche, something like this. I then want it to redirect to a review page that will have good reviews and details on the products. Then I was thinking if they leave the review page I could have some kind of one time offer pop up, offering a free e-book or something if they buy now?

Anyways what do you think of this plan, would you use it, or would you change it around and if you would change it, how would you change it?

      I bought the domain already, now I am working on a custom wp theme, i am getting hosting for it the first day of next month. So it should be up and running by the first week of next month. Then I got to work on content and backlinks... I am going to attempt to write my own copy, by looking at other successful websites I think I could come up with decent copy of my own.
