I'm getting started with Amazon S3 and need a secure way to store a video training in zip file of 700Mo and sell it on my blog using Paypal.

Is there a way to password protect the download URL of a digital product on Amazon S3?

I was thinking about sending an email to the buyer with a login+password+the download Amazon S3 URL.

I thought about using a pre-signed URL, but I'm not sure it could do the job since it's only a simple link without password , thus it can be shared more easily.

I've also seen that services like e-junkie can cloak any URL for $18/mo but I'm not sure there is not a cheaper and better way.

I also know sites like payloadz or digitalgoodstore allow to upload our product on their servers and take in exchange a percentage on each sale, but in this case Amazon S3 is not required.

How do you do to secure your digital products stored on Amazon S3?
