I am confused, I have a few ads and for their avg position I have 4.1 and 10.1 - Do you want a lower score or Higher one? Which one is better?

Thanks

The lower the number the closer to the top of the ads you are. Average position of 1.0 means you are always on top of the list. Average position of 10.1 means your add is probably on page 2 of the search results.

    Rightly explained by @Entrecon above.

To know more about how Ad rank is determined by Quality Score & Bids, check out this video:

This video was pretty much the standard until a few months ago. Now Ad Extension is also an important part of Ad Rank as per the updated Ad Rank algorithm.

This might be too much information for you at this stage though so take your time in going through the references.

    Best of luck.

Ok thanks - It was a little confusing for me so the goal is to keep it low

This is not always the case! You need to keep it where you're turning a profit.

If it's at 10, and it's cheap, and it still converts - then that's good. No need in upping your bid to make it a lower QS when what you have is working.

Of course, this is all about testing...and yes, normally a lower QS is better...but...just keep in mind that it's about being profitable.
