Great to know that you are still looking for a mentor but by the end of the day levyorit, after finding many coaches and trying different systems, you must teach yourself to make your online business work.

Plenty of people wants to make money online and they take the right approach of getting a mentor. This saves you the mistakes they did before and directs you to what is working for them and their students.

The problem is when the coach tells them the reality of hard work and money they need to invest in their business instead of the shiny promises of big cash payouts, the tire kicking student's bubble burst and does nothing with the free or paid lessons.

Failure is so common and in any growth in life failure is the key to success. 20 percent you learn and 80% you act and do. Biting off more than you can chew and learning how to chew it, swallow it not choking on it in the process.

No coach can replace the coaching of experience.

This statement is totally GOLD. Nothing is better than teaching yourselves. You
will learn many things that you will never be able to with any books or coaching
programs. I recommend you to spend more time experimenting and I am sure
      you will be successful.

I clearly am not stating that you should not invest your money on any book.
However, you need to spend as least as possible and ensure you keep
experimenting until you find your perfect method.

      Good Luck!

How much are you willing to pay? (Rhetorical question.) If you want one-on-one coaching you'd definitely be paying a steeper price than group coaching, so you might want to look into those.

If you want to go the group coaching route, make sure that the one you join has direct access to the coach so you can also get the benefit of one-on-one.

    Just my .02.

p.s. Also depends on what kind of model you'd like to follow - different coaches teach different ones.

    Hey Orit,

    Don't take a "couch"!
    Do one of the following:
    1. Find someone who you think knows what he is doing and convince him to be your couch (it can be money, but you might find someone who will be challenged/want to pass the good/etc)

    Or

    2. Create connection with others like you and couch each other

Why not taking "official" couch? Those who can talk the talk and walk the walk will (and should) be super expensive, 99% of them couch cause they can't walk the walk

True. You need to have your mind body and soul convinced you are going to succeed
Then the coach can guide you with ease and
Not be a burden for him.

What do you want to be coached in? If you have an idea about what
you want to accomplish then this would narrow down your search
    considerably.

But be prepared to get a split in the responses with most saying that
you don't need a coach, all you need is to read the Warrior forum.
So the final decision will still remain with you.

In the sports world, coaching helps top athletes refine their skills, take performance to the highest level, and implement subtle little changes that most athletes would not be aware of.

In a very real sense, they squeeze the last little bit of "juice" out of highly trained athletic machines.

In most instances, an effective IM coach is no different.
      • The coach has to have something to work with in the first place. He will not make a top athlete out of a wannabe or someone with no talent
      • A swimming coach is not going to be a great help to a wrestler. Pick a coach that specializes (as in "has successfully made money") in the IM method that you want to pursue
      • Present the coach with particular stumbling blocks or difficulties you have already experienced. Don't come to the table with a blank stare and a "I have no clue what I'm doing" attitude.
      • Coaches don't make changes in people. People make changes in themselves with the "how to" guidance of a coach. No one is going to hand you a profitable business on a silver platter.
      • There are no "one size fits all" coaches. Because someone else was successfully coached by Mr. X, there is no guarantee you will have the same results. Why? Simply because you are not the student that Mr. X coached the last time.
Lest you think I am against coaching in general, that is not the case at all. But over and over again I see students thinking that a coach is going to make them be successful. Rarely (maybe never?) has that ever happened.

      Good luck to you,

      Steve

This, for sure. Those "couches" are a real pain.

If you want to go the group coaching route, make sure that the one you join has direct access to the coach so you can also get the benefit of one-on-one.
"Group" coaching is what I suggest for newbies. After you gain some experience a 1-on-1 coach can help you optimize and maximize your business and income.

      Hi,

Group coaching is good for getting lot's of insights into what has worked for
      other members within that group.

Some group coaching programs in the past have had forums where fellow
members share lot's of useful tips, tricks and shortcuts that could have held
      you back for months otherwise.

Sometimes it's just knowing that 1 little thing and using it to shift your
direction by just 10 degrees that can make all the difference over weeks,
months and years as you progress online.

levyorit , Do not spend money on ONE -ON ONE coaching unless the person is VERY well known outside of WarriorForum as well.

My personal opinion: one on one coaching is waste of time and money. You can learn everything that they are going to teach you from a simple udemy course or by doing your own research. They will teach you nothing new unless you are a newbie.. If you are newbie, try to learn it yourself by getting rejected and failing.

People don't often speak about how good it can be to get rejected and fail at the beginning while trying something new ; You actually learn something by making mistake.

Very often, i see WSOs being taught by people who think they are "gurus", but all they are trying to do is make money himself. You will be left with frustration because they offer money back guarantee ONLY if you do EVERYTHING EXACTLY that they tell you.. They know, you are a newbie and you will not come thru or even get frustrated to leave it at the middle.

Amazing to see Internet Marketers trying to "SELL" another marketers "coaching" amuses me

Instead of buying ebooks and "skype" coachings. Purchase products which actually have a value : A software, PLR , Scripts , Tools to help you save time and build an ACTUAL product out of it, and sell it to offline businesses.

    Good luck

What stage are you at? Do you have an idea of what type of online business you would like to build (affiliate marketing, advertising, build your own product, write your own product, etc...) or are you still at the stage of trying to figure that out?

My experience has shown that coaching can be useful in the following context:

    1. You do some serious digging on your own to understand the "lay-of-the-land" - meaning what types of businesses are out there, how people are making money, what they are selling, what sorts of niches exist, etc...

    2. You brainstorm your "perfect" business...what challenge in the market would you target, what type of product would you sell (information, e-commerce, services, advertising...) Again, you don't have to have it all locked in, just get a handle on what route you would like to take or at least investigate further.

    3. Look for mentors that line up with your vision - people who have succeeded in the markets and business models you are interested in.

    4. Figure out how you can learn from them...this typically includes watching what they are doing, how they are doing it and why in their own business ( you can learn a lot by just watching and learning). Perhaps purchase a product, group coaching program, membership site or 1:1 (1-hour say) coaching to get a feel for what they have to offer.

5.After the initial exposure, decide if you want to continue and put together a list of what you wan to get out of the consulting to see if they can offer it...this helps them align your expectations with their different methods of teaching.

This was you get a good combination of your own thinking/learning/action with getting the help of a coach and/or mentor - seems to work out the best.

    Jeff
