I'm Not A Quitter, So I Need Help!!!

I'm too embarrased to say how many times I fell for those slick internet marketing ads that bombarded my e-mail even to this day. I think they all just passed my name around to make money off me. Regardless, I still believe there has to be an honest way to make money on the internet and I guess until I find someone honest to work with me I will keep trying. I am not a quitter but I am starting to get gun shy for wanting to try anything again. A friend of mine heard about this website and suggested I check it out. From what I've seen it looks like a good place for a new person like myself to be a part of. I want to be able to leave my job and allow my wife to leave her job. I want to start a business that can make enough money for us to help other people live the dream as well. I know there are people that are doing this and I am just praying that there is someone out there honest enough to show me the way without trying to scam me out of another $97 do nothing program. My wife just looks at me now and shakes her head. I know she is losing faith in me. She has health issues and is only working to keep us afloat. I have to prove to her that my dream to make it has not been a lot of wasted time and money, my dream will come true. I'm not a quitter!!! If you have an honest internet business that is making decent money I sure would love to hear about it. Thanks and God bless.

takes a lot work and good training inside of the process. No one just starts off that way, most them have put in the time to get where they are.

I would recommend to get a normal day job and invest a couple hours of your day to other means of income (internet businesses). Because as paulsvola mentioned it is going to take time to get where you want to be and you shouldn't sacrifice the time you could be spending helping your wife financially. Now, I don't mean give up on your dream at all, but you shouldn't quit your day job just yet. I would recommend looking into consulting or software as a service for internet businesses to go after. Best of luck!

You say that like it's a bad thing. You should be gun shy, the net is like the wild west. The next time someone tries to sell you something ignore them.

    Earning money online isn't difficult.

Forget all the hype you've bought into & make a list of things your personally interested in. Now take that list & do research, are thousands of other people interested in the same niche/subject? Where do those people hang out on the net? After you find the traffic source make a list of things you can sell to those people.

I've been working on a project/niche for a while where I did a lot of research to find a product supplier for a niche I'm interested in offline. I found a small business in Georgia (US) that manufactures an unbranded product, I buy the product & markup the price +50%, buyer pays shipping. That's fine & it's working out as planned but I didn't stop researching/optimizing, tonight I sent out an email to a 2nd product supplier from Florida (US), If that deal works out I'll be selling the same product with a +70% markup.

You have to make your own deals because nobody that's legit is going to knock your door down asking If you want to make money.

Start spending your money on the right things. Invest in website hosting and make a landing page. Pay for an autoresponder service. Pay to send traffic to the landing page and build a list. Most of the software out there over-promises and under-delivers. Start paying for the items you truly NEED instead of looking for easy money.

"I'm Not A Quitter..." that is a good attitude. If you can give yourself sometime and learn from this forum, that can help you. I am sure you will receive some guidance on what interests you. Owning a website can help you to promote whatever you like.

    Hi,

Start working on a info product then create a website to market the product. Give it away for awhile, collect feedback, and then slap a price tag on it.

It's really not that difficult. Just focus on CREATING A PRODUCT, even if it fails, it'll be easier to create another one because you already have experience.

Solve a problem. If your products or services don't solve a problem then they're not useful.

You must open your mind and keep getting ideas about any opportunity that come to your eyes. Start selling and don't buy and believed the product will save your money problem. You can use fiverr, JV or any skills that you can monetize. Then you can build your list and selling affiliate programs or your own digital products.

The blueprint should be easy but keep step forward is a must with open mind.

To tell you the truth that looks like what EVERY IMer has at some point thought in his career. Its the same with everyone. You get scammed, spammed and beaten to death and when you have nothing to lose you decide to "sell" and stop "buying".

That's the way it is with IM and that "I don't wanna quit" attitude is going to help you immensely.

To be successful, identify a problem and then a solution. Sell the solution. It could be a service to buyers or an affiliate product to a list.

    Wish you success.
    Thanks.

selling the solution to there problem no doubt, people are selfish and only looking out for number one. They all want to know the secret of the result, and educate people, teach them.

    nextlevel2b, a couple things here.

First, you state that you have purchased many make money online products that have not worked out. (Been there. Done that. The t-shirt sucked.)

Have you bought the products/courses that you have because they will help you along a desired path you have chosen, or because you think you can make lots of money with it?

Truth is, there are SO MANY ways to make money online. You have to know what it is that you personally are good at to where you can add value to others, and use that to define a specific path. Once you have defined that path, don't be afraid to buy an occasional product/course from a trusted source that will help you along the path, but you should absolutely REFUSE to even look at any course that does not do so. For example, if you decide you're best suited for an outside sales role where you help local businesses with their stuff online (SEO, reputation management, social media, etc.) then do not look at a product that talks about making money blogging, no matter how shiny it is.

I empathize very well with your plight. Take what you've learned, define a clear path, work your butt off, find others doing what you want to do and learn from them, and don't be a perfectionist. Get out there and get it done!

Keep your business online simple by list building, putting your traffic paid or organic through your custom funnel, give 80% value and recommend 20% of your tools and affiliate links to help your leads succeed.

But whatever affiliate you promote, make sure you give value first!

Seems like you only need the how-to's of it all... you believe in yourself and you know it's possible to create your dream lifestyle online... not to mention you are keeping that attitude in the face of disbelief which is very rare in this industry.

Whatever you choose to do, whatever business model you decide to go with, just go with it 110% and rely on nobody but yourself to get it done. Learn to lean on experienced contacts around you but understand that it's ultimately up to you

As others have said, this isn't hard.

But you don't need someone's "ninja" program or plan. You need a basic understanding of how IM (and business in general works). Then make your own choice of what you'll sell which depends on YOUR own interests, skills and resources.

Clarity is a HUGE part of IM success. I hope this post brings some clarity. It's so simple when you know it -- and darn difficult when you don't! I owe my mentors a world of thanks for bringing this clarity.

IM is actually pretty simple: you can sell only one of two things:

    1. Products
    2. Services

    That's it!

And selling products or services online happens in the same basic way for everyone, no matter what they're selling:

    Traffic > Opt-in page > Autoresponder series (or e-zine) > Sales page

That's it! It's just that simple. (We IMers tend to overcomplicate things.)

But no matter what your niche is, or whether you're selling a product or a service, do you know what your business model is?

A business model is the framework or skeleton of your business. Essentially there are three types of online business models:

    1. Membership-based model

A membership-based business model allows you to build a community of people (your members) who are as passionate about your subject as you are. Your membership fees can be monthly or annual, but either way, you're building recurring, passive income.

There are a lot of resources and information out there to help you build a membership-based business if you're interested in doing this.

    2. Product-based model

Selling products allows you to maximize your time and effort by selling items over and over again. This can be hard goods or it can be information products. Information marketing is it's own business model under the product-based model. Information marketing allows you to take your brain to the bank by creating a product ONCE based on what you know and selling it over and over again.

Affiliate marketing falls under both models. You can choose to market either products or services as an affiliate.

    3. Service-based model

Selling services can be great for 1) generating quick cash (as in the case of article writing or video producing) and 2) establishing your expertise and getting testimonials.

However, in the long run, your goal should be to offer services at a PREMIUM. The biggest advantage of IM is LEVERAGE. You're able to leverage your time, money and expertise exponentially online. We all have just 24 hours each day. Time to get ruthless about what you expect for those hours you spend in IM each day. Expect more of yourself and more from your business friends, clients, partners, etc.

What results are you getting for those hours you spend online each day? Ultimately, your services should be at the bottom of your funnel and cost the most since they involve your time and personal attention. (We all have a limited amount of time each day.)

The fun (and confusion) comes in with all of the endless mix-and-match possibilities of the above models. If you're just starting or still struggling to make money, keep it simple:

    Pick just ONE!

    1. Pick ONE niche. (Something you're interested in and know something about.)

    2. Pick ONE target market for your product or service. (Who will buy what you're offering? The more specific you are, the more you narrow it down, the more successful you'll be.)

    3. Pick ONE business model.

Now that you're clear about what business you're in, FOCUS! (And stop buying any info not related to your niche and target market, period!)

    F -- Follow
    O -- One
    C -- Course
    U -- Until
    S -- Successful

And remember: build a list, Build a List, BUILD A LIST!

In IM, it's easy to put the cart before the horse. Take a deep breath, step back and consider what type of business you REALLY want. Don't worry about getting traffic or buying that expensive traffic product until you know 1) what your business model is, 2) what niche you're in and 3) WHO your target market is!

Successful business people will tell you that MARKETING is more than half the effort that's needed for success anyway. So pick a niche, target market and business model. Then spend most of your time and effort marketing it.

If you DON'T have a solid plan or system, THAT'S when it's hard. A good system will shave YEARS (and save you big $$$) off of your learning curve

That's why I recommend investing in at least one good, comprehensive IM course (or mentor who will give you such a system) instead of jumping from one $37 e-book to the next. A lot of people here complain about not being able to make any money. But neither are they willing to invest in their business. (Buying a random bunch of $37 e-books doesn't count.)

The best thing I ever did was invest in a comprehensive IM course aimed at REAL business owners, not just other IM wannabes. Yes it was $1500. (It's no longer available.) But it was truly some of the best A-Z IM info I ever bought. Everything else I've learned (from the $37 e-books) since has simply been plugged into this system.

My two best recommendations for phenomenal IM training programs are Ali Brown's Elevate program (ElevateBizTraining.com) and Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula (ProductLaunchFormula.com)

Get a solid plan or system and then work the plan!

    Hope this helps!

A lot has already been said here...

    Get a Plan
    Have Goals
Research (but don't spend at this point)

The biggest issue is state of mind. When we want something urgently, we are far more likely to spend money and hope that its going to work out, we react to our environment and situation.

Start helping yourself by motivating your mind shift and find in your heart what interest you, then look at the way you can share that with the world in the format you prefer most.

Remember to qualify that this is a market where people spend money. If its not, then its a hobby not a business!!

This could be eBooks or Kindle Books, this could be writing a physical book and selling via a service like Create Space, this could be audio, video, workshops, memberships sites, or it could be a combination of them all, which is a great funnel to have.

Once you KNOW what you want to do, then research what others are doing and look for the successful people/products in your niche and emulate that process.

If you think about the reasons people buy...

    NEED vs Want

You are spending the money because you put yourself in the NEED category at this point. Once you move to the want it becomes easier to control impulse buys because you are being much more specific.

Better to buy what you need to move you forward than jumping on every new shiny penny.

My wife's first income online was writing a real book to sell on Amazon. It took a few months. That was back in 2006 and its still selling today. She now has other products and even a beauty business selling physical products via the web.

You will grow over time and your goals and plans will change accordingly.

Be sure to have a Plan first, then go for it.

The only ones who suceed in IM are not the one who are searching for 'Methods'.
Those who Create their own methods earn all the Money. If it works they will secretly earn till it runs out and then sell it as a Ebook/Course.

One thing I NEVER get about these threads.

The OP almost always says they've purchased too many products to name, lost hope etc.

What I don't get is that you say your not a quitter, yet you haven't found at least ONE 'good' product out of all the ones you've purchased.

Heck, it doesn't even need to be 'good'. The courses out there at the moment, whilst they may lack in certain areas, if you actual sit down and implement it (for long enough) you will see results.

Most of the newbies get sucked into the next new product. They are on too many list which keep sending them limited time offers and that is a huge distraction. I agree with Nightengale that the key to success is FOCUS.

Spend the time to pick one thing that you want to focus on - it could be a real product, e-product, blog...I mean any one thing and then just focus on that. You will learn lot of the things when you take that one thing to finish line. Once it starts making some money, you rinse and repeat and this time avoid all the pitfalls from the 1st experience. This will take time and you have said you are not a quitter, then you will definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel.

    Wishing you all the success!
