XSitePro taken off the market

Paul Smithson has announced that XSitePro will no longer be sold.

The website building software will be available for present customers
to use but there will be no updates etc.

Reasons given include Paul's health and lack of financial resources to
keep up with the bog boys. Any affiliates promoting the software need
to take down their links immediately.

Here's a link where Paul outlines twelve reasons for his decision:

Aww, that's sad news. Sorry to see it go.

  • It's sad to see something like this happen to software that was once cutting edge.

I think there is one important lesson we can all learn here (without passing ANY judgement on Paul - I don't know enough about his business to do that):

As business people, we owe it to ourselves AND to the world to make sure our businesses are profitable.

If your business is not bringing in a decent profit, you will not be able to maximize your potential and bring all the value you can to the world.

That is a bummer. We will miss the software.

Shame about the guy's health, hope it gets better.

Glad I switched to Wordpress a long time ago. It's far more flexible.

It's a bit sad to see the official end of Xsite Pro. I still maintain a small stable of sites with Xsite. Prior to taking on Word Press I had a great run with Xsite. However Paul made the right call here; it's really the right time for this dated, yet effective, program to go out with some dignity.
