Too many Bloggers in my Team??

hi guys, I've recently started a website project, with computer and internet blog as niche. I've my own blog team and we're about 5 guys. Blog has been online for about 5 months until now. It has now about 150 articles in total, first position on Google, working on SEO tactics, we're in all social networks, making videos tutorials etc, running ads for few cents/day and getting about 200-300 visitors per day.

Problem is, in my blog team, we're all good writing articles, but me and only one of my friends write the most of articles in the blog. So me and my friend are hard working. We'll take up from Google Adsense (splitting profits) the most money than other friends because we write more articles than other friends.

So I think at this time, is better to start a new blog made only from me and work alone and take most of earnings? I've started with my blog teams writing articles becuase I had few money to invest and so we're 5 guys who can split profits and split costs of server, domain etc... Or I could make my own blog and redirect traffic to my friends blog and viceversa? I know that working alone on a Big blog isn't simple, I'll need more time running two blogs so maybe better working with friends which helps but less money to be earned...

You might split the money based on performance. Hold everyone accountable. If 3 people produce 1 article each and 2 produce 5 each split the profits accordingly. Do you all own equal shares? You need to address the issue. If you form another blog with your hardworking friend learn from past mistakes. Put a set of rules in place that holds people accountable.

Another way is to outsource your blog posts to writers.
Might be cheaper than splitting the profits.

If you're able to create more content for a new site, then by all means go ahead and do it. It's always a good idea to have multiple sites running, especially since you already have your first blog properly established.

Just be careful not to neglect your current blog, though, or it could cost you the income and even worse, relationships with your friends.

You are right in that having more than one person running multiple blogs is easier, but you also won't earn as much. It's a really a trade off between time and money. At the same time, it can also be difficult to handle the responsibility of each person to make sure they do their part of the work, which you're experiencing now.

I would suggest that you try to create a second blog on your own. It may take a little longer to build it up, but you're free to do it at your own pace and everything goes to you.

If it really becomes too much to handle on your own, you can always outsource part of the work, and it's never too late to get your friends in on the action later on.

You have business partners here, not bloggers on a team and they're likely to expect to be paid what they were always paid. So maybe it's time to start another blog or have a talk with everyone about your financial situation and let them know that you can't keep up the current arrangement. Maybe offer a deal to pay them off for content already created.

What arrangement do you have with your partners? Do you have a incorporation with % share for each partner? If you are not liking the partnership because you are the only one working, then you will continue to have this problem later also. It would be wise to split now before your operation becomes too big. This way you can buy out the share of your other partners at low cost upfront. Of course you have the option to start something of your own but I would think that you need to keep your partners informed. Wouldn't you expect your partners to tell you if they started something on the side? So be fair and upfront and get to a happy ending with your partners.

I don't think its a good idea to work simultaneously on two different blogs. As another Warrior mentioned, hold everyone accountable and split profits. Problem is when you become more successful you'll have people asking for their share (remember Facebook?), so I guess its time you did a team meeting and agreed on profit sharing based on quantity of work and also QUALITY of work (stuff that gets more traffic and earnings etc.).

Granulate it as much as a possible and tell them whats the minimum you expect from each guy. I'm sure many of your friends will express their limitations to you and you'll be in a better position to decide on the next step. Some might even walk out.
