Question about Affiliate Marketing

Hey guys:

Thanks for reading.

I am looking to promote about 6 companies in order to create an affiliate relationship with them. Truth be told, they all have affiliate programs, so I am wanting to join them. I am going to drive people to a portal that will give them an option of purchasing from one of the six, so whey they do, I will receive an affiliate commission of 4%-12%.

To create multiple affiliate relationships, is there a website (like Commission Junction) that can handle that for me? In other words, is it easier to set up one account with something like CJ and then tell the companies to pay me through them?

Also, if I wanted to create something like a Network Marketing Company and split the commission I receive with others that referred new clients to me, is there an easy way to do that? I'd like to try to make this 5 levels deep, with the commission being 25%, 10%, 5%, 5%, and 5%, with me keeping the first 50%. That way, I wouldn't have to worry about marketing. How could I automate or keep up with payments each month?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

thats too low to make any good amount of money..

the only way you can make good money with those low paying offers is to get huge amounts of traffic very cheap, and traffic costs are going up and up..

You're better off to find offers tat pay 50-100% in commissions on the high end of the payout spectrum... that's the only way to make decent money unless you know how to get penny clicks

It depends. 8-12% of a $10,000 sale leaves plenty of room for advertising.

I do agree though that any companies you are looking to create long-term affiliations with should be ones who are willing to pay a larger split than that.

However if the products you are referring to are physical products then that changes things.

Your thinking about what is called 'Going Direct'. You can actually join a network like http://peerfly.com (i don't use them, they're good for newbies though) and promote affiliate links of advertisers they house in their network.

With CJ you'll more than likely be on a revenue share basis or a % per sale basis. With a CPA network your paid per action: paid per lead, paid per sale, paid per install.

You have to buy ads and send traffic to the offers or landing pages. Don't think about affiliate marketing as a tier system unless you own a product (which is not worth it as a newbie) think of your job as getting someone to buy or complete an offer without your advertisers terms and conditions.

Yeah, it is much too low for that. Even any IM niches is higher. You can go to clickbank, JVZOO and other high ticket product. =)

Probably better off joining an existing aff network. You can try to work directly with the companies but sounds like you want something more simplified.

As far as your second question, there are some shopping cart systems that can be setup for use with affiliates and commissions, but they can be a bit pricey if you're just starting out.

You are trying to create a system that is customized to what you are wanting to do. There are products out there which are built for multi-level affiliate marketing but do you have the money to invest in them. You are talking very close to what the cash-back sites do but with your own twist to it. You could pursue this with doing some custom development or alternatively look for products that can pay you higher commission to start with and focus on those.
