ITServices Newsletter- HELP!

So I am a marketing intern, working for my college's Information Technology Services team. I have to write a welcome back newsletter to students informing them of what's new around here. I find it so hard to make technology-related stuff exciting, and would really like some help. I would REALLY appreciate any suggestions anyone has!!

There are a few bullet points that I have to expand on.. and this is what I have so far:

ITServices WELCOMES YOU BACK!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO...
(something about registering computers and how to do it)

So as some of you may know, Windows 8 was introduced to some of the computers on campus last semester. This coming semester, Windows 8 will be all over campus, and it's something to be excited about! This operating system offers improvements in performance and existing capabilities.

Some benefits to Windows 8:

1.) Faster startup
2.) New apps
3.) (etc...) I will be adding a few more and maybe expanding

MAKE SURE TO BE SAFE & SECURE!

On that note, some of you may be coming back to campus with computer systems that are outdated:

Windows XP has expired this past April. This means that there will be no more security updates or technical support for the Windows XP operating system. It is very important that those with this system migrate to a modern operating system. Security updates are necessary because they patch vulnerabilities that may be exploited by malware (malicious software!) and help keep users and their data safer overall.

Mac OSX 10.5 and older are no longer supported by Apple and people with these operating systems should also think about upgrading if they can. The issue with unsupported systems is similar to Windows, except Apple doesn't inform their customers with a detailed description on why to update. But once again and most importantly, unsupported systems are unprotected, leaving information and private data in great danger.

NEW & EXCITING!

The college is introducing something called "Technology group work spaces."

What's the deal?
We've all worked in groups before. And coming together with all the tools and supplies needed isn't always so easy. These new work areas will make your lives easier, providing mostly everything you need in order to work well as a team.

What's included?
A group sized table with charging capabilities. You can plug your laptops, phones, etc. into the table outlet and work right there without any worries. There are white boards surrounding the tables and one monitor screen to work with.

I also have to include just the simple fact that there have been wireless enhancements improving the signal quality and availability, and a few other minor things.

I just feel like the information is so random and its kind of hard to make it flow, and make it exciting.

If anyone has suggestions PLEASE help!!!!!!
