Best Procedure to approve JVzoo affiliates?

After checking my sites name I found someone snuck into the #3 spot with his "review" of my product/service.

This person became an affiliate via JVzoo.

When clicking through his page no such review was posted - but the word "discount" is there in the title which would pretty much force anyone looking for it by name to click through to his post whereby they will then be cookied in to him.

Then if they make a purchase HE/SHE gets the credit.

My question is how careful are you when approving affiliates on JVzoo?

I would tend to think that most people would NEVER write back with HOW they intend to promote my product/service.

I guess that if they are not interested in alerting me how they're going to promote my stuff then they're not a worthy affiliate.

Little sloppy on my end so I'm well aware of it before you call me out on it.

Thoughts?

If you don't know them and they won't communicate with you, I wouldn't approve them. If they do communicate with you, then you have to use your judgement as to whether or not to approve them. If they have less than 50 sales, put them on delayed commissions. If they have 100 or more sales on JVZoo, then they probably are serious marketers and you can feel somewhat safe with instant commissions. If it doesn't feel right to you, then it probably isn't right. Its your business you are protecting. Its your reputation you are guarding. Ultimately YOU have to decide what is right for YOU in every situation. Hope this helps.

PM me if you have a list 50k list or more of buyers in the IM space for an evergreen high converting product at a high price point.

I approve two types of affiliates. Buyers of the product and people I personally know.

In Jvzoo there are a lot of affiliates who claim to write a review about your product, and when you ask them if they have bought it they say no.

Anyways t's best to contact the affiliate first, and even don't approve them if you don't know them. You can also ban them if they use shady tactics to get sales...

I only ever approve affiliates I already know or have heard of.

The reality is that 99% of your sales will come from the top 1-2% of your affiliates. All the others are mostly time wasters who just try and throw as much mud at the wall as they can and hope that some of it sticks.

You have a lot more to lose by approving a rogue affiliate than you have to gain from majority of the affiliates who ask for approval.

So only ever approve those you know of.
