Made my first 2 sales and need to build links

Hi, I'm just starting out in the IM arena but I have made my first 2 sales from organic traffic.

I was wondering if any of the experts on here could point me in the right direction or method on how to get some links, so I might improve my search list position?

Is this the right thing to do? Should I be doing something else?

I've read a ton of info but am still unsure of where to go next.

any help would be very much appreciated

    1. submit articles
    2. social bookmark your pages/posts
    3. comment on dofollow blogs
    4. use advertising sites

Looks and sounds great, do you have any experience of this service / method?

I personally dont use it, because I have my own link building method and I'm doing fine with that, thanks. But if you want to take the hard work out of it, you can't really go wrong with spending $5 each month to get a bunch of places to drop your link -- a no brainer IMHO.

    Hey Leeb!

I use Angela's service. Her backlinks have made a big difference in my backlinking strategy. If you find that backlinking is too time consuming, check the WSO forum becuase there are a few services that will backlink for you (or you could try a site like odesk or elance).

Thanks for the info guys. I feel that info from real IMs is invaluable.

Like you said "it's a no brainer"

Do you have any comments what pitfalls / traps to look out for / avoid?

leeb, add a link to your site with with good anchor text(a keyword related to your product that you want to rank for) in your Signature in your users control panel. Posting on warriorforum and other dofollow forums like sitepoint/digitalpoint/v7n is a great way to build links, just remember to always be adding value with your posts.

Also do some article marketing with links back to your site on squidoo, ezinearticles, and hubpages.

Comment on lots of blogs related to your niche too and add your url in the url box, even 'nofollow' links help a little bit for seo, not to mention the traffic you'll get from it. Look around on Technorati to find high traffic blogs to comment on.
