Why does the 'Create A New WSO' link have no FAQ or simple step by step instruction?

Hi there,

I've bought heaps of WSO's over the past few years but FINALLY i'm going to create my first WSO and launch it.

However, I a bit lost as to the steps on the 'Create A WSO' page... Even for a seasoned IT guy like me!

The 'Help' button goes to Freelancer (which doesn't have any help for the Warrior Forum on it!) and when I search the forum for "how to post a wso", it's a mess of random conversations but nothing that's clear cut.

I know this sounds ludicrous and I apologise, but i'm sure i'm not the only person who's been stuck with this. The interface looks absolutely stellar but there's some key answers that need to be a bit more apparent to people so that it's easier (Step 1, 2, 3 etc).

The Product Files uploader - do I upload a word doc of my sales letter? do i need to upload my product too? Do I just use the link tool below and and do I need to name the WSO a certain way??

Do I put order buttons on my sales page or is that what the 'Button' tool is for?

If some really simple help text (or a help text hover button be added) to each step, it would be so much easier...

Can anyone help with this?

Many thanks,

Rob Alexander.

At first I thought "come on guy, write it, submit it and pay the money" but I just tried that and I see what you mean.

It used to be that you created a thread, posted it and waited for approval. Once approved you pay money and it appears at the top of the page. I have no idea what "files" they want us to upload though. I hope they don't want us to take snapshots of a sales page and upload massive PNG files as has been the unfortunate (money losing) trend lately. There doesn't seem to be a way to just write a text offer. I'm sure there is though. There's HAVE to be. What are we missing here?

I also found the "suggested" 80% commission for WF to promote you as their daily deal amusing. Nice try fellas.

I'm sure someone will post and explain how dumb I am for not knowing what files to upload. What if I have no files to upload? What if my offer is just text? And what if I want to use my own payment system (a paypal button or something else), how would that work. It seems that the only choice now is to use the WF payment system. I'm sure this has all been explained before but you're right, just clicking the button and following my nose lead me to a full stop on that page.

      Hi Bill,

Click the link below to create a WSO using an alternative payment system. You should be able to craft the post however you like and then wait for approval.

Where did that link come from? I can only see the big red button at the top.

It's basically the old school WSO submission link and it has been posted around the forum several times. Below is where Alaister posted it himself.

Yes that's a big mistake they made imo. Obviously they want that all Wso's are created with the new system, but they disregard the people who don't want to use it.

If i'm not mistaken, the inital Wso section was for special offers on products which are sold outside this section. Now they simply removed that button and have everybody who wants to use the Wso section for it's initial purpose wondering what's going on...

          That's not cool...

Guys - If I'm posting a WSO, why is it called a 'New Thread'? Isn't that the Forum, not the WSO listing?

And if it is right, when do I pay for the listing?

The interface to post WSO's seems to be from 1995... What the?

            > How do I use my own hosted landing page for my WSO listing? Or how do you import the html into the WSO interface?

Many thanks again - I can't believe it's this hard (or seems to be).

            Ta, Rob.

A WSO is created in a forum thread in the WSO forum.

      Thanks Bill!

I double checked first as I didn't want to sound silly but I was like huh?? I can earn a quarter mil selling IT solutions but can't post a WSO!

      Many thanks, Cheers.

It sure is but what are the files to which they refer? What are they expecting we'll be uploading? Often I'm thicker than a brick - I suspect this is one of those times but I hope they're not suggesting we all turn text into massive PNGs (an SEO disaster) and upload those?

    Confused.

I haven't used it yet but I would imagine it's the product files that people get access to after they pay.

Exactly. It just doesn't seem to make sense at all. For what 'looks' like a really modern interface, they've just assumed that people know what they mean.

Funny, i'm just about to post a WSO about 27 Landing Page Secrets that i've learned from working with a top-end corporate marketing firm and this sort of stuff is 'Landing Page 101'...

Thanks, I might use the other link that's been suggested.

      Cheers, Rob.

Oh ok, well that makes sense. It's a delivery system as well. So I'm guessing that after we submit the files (or don't) the next stage is to write the content of the offer. Should we really be wondering about this though? It should be explained a little better on the page as the OP said.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad it wasn't just me that was confused about this. I'm guessing this is very new hey?

I'll make some 'assumptions' and go through the process, just thought i'd ask first to check that I wasn't missing something that's 'right there' so to speak.

    Cheers, Rob.

The interface is nearly identical to JVZ.

The problem I see is lack of sales. Have you scrolled through the WSOs using WarPay? I did several days ago and the only one that had more then a few sales was the one being promoted on the Hello bar. Nearly all the others were Zero sales.

That's not really an issue of the platform, that's just a lack of affiliates promoting the products. Most super affiliates are still using platforms such as JVZoo and there's no real reason for them to use Warrior Payments. So until there is some reason for them to join Warrior Payments, there won't be many products doing huge numbers.
