I want to write an eBook. Where do I begin?

Hey everyone,

First post here at the Warrior Forum. I am thinking about writing an eBook, and am wondering where to get started in terms of formatting, model ebooks, etc. Just looking for any general tips on where to begin with an ebook. Is it as simple as opening up word and start writing?

I believe you are referring to creating a PDF format. Simply go to Microsoft Word, Openoffice Writer, or even Google Docs. Just start a new document and start writing as you would a normal document.

And once you are done, you need to save (or export) as PDF. All these programs have a function to convert to PDF.

  Don't overthink. Just create your outline, open your word processor and type the content. You don't need first to format. When it is finished you can do the profreading and formating part.
  Just do it! you can format later when the book is written.

  Definitely agree with Pierre. Don't let the details bog down your production. Go ahead and write what you want to write first, and then go into formatting, editing, etc. after.

In addition you can use "nitro pro" for converting a word document to pdf.

yes, it's as simple as go to word and start typing. as long as you have a plan though. if you have a basic and a starting idea, then start writing. leave the formatting and everything else later on.

if you want to save it as a pdf, if you are using 2007 MS office, you need to download a plugin from their website. install it and then if you go to ''file -> save as'' , there is an option to export it in pdf format.

if you are using 2010 ms office, go to ''file -> save as'' , at the bottom where it says ''file type'' , choose PDF
