Best niche for internet marketing business

Warriors,

Which is the best niche for internet marketing business?
We know that IM is all about generating good traffic, leads etc before anticipating conversions.

Looking for opinions on which niches can be considered especially by newbies to kick start with this business.

I find make money online is perfect for newbies and doing affiliate marketing. They dont need to create a product but to just learn how to drive traffic to the affiliate. Once a newbie learns how to leverage the power of marketing online, they can promote anything on any niches

    Hi Vikram,

I would agree with Joseph on starting out with the make money online niche as a newbie.

Really, you can go for any niche, but the make money online niche would be a great place to start. As you get more creative, you will start to think of many other sub niches that branch off the internet marketing niches. For example: make money online fast, work from home dads, etc.

Just brainstorm many demographics that are looking to make money online, and you will be just fine.

    Hope this helps!

Why would someone who is new to making money online enter this niche, when them themselves have not made any? They would not know the niche.

True. Plus, you wouldn't have much credibility like 85% of the MMO market.

And especially when you can consider something you probably already have an interest in that you know or know more than most people. That's your first money making opportunity. Start there.

I don't know the easiest way to make money online but I know the hardest. And that's trying show people how to make money when you've never done it. There's a ton of easier ways to make a living online. Trust me.

Seeing as this question comes up a dozen or more times a week I'd say how to successfully select a niche would be the best business to get into.

Sounds Like A Sticky Is Needed. At least the basics.

I can remember when that question hardly ever came up. Now it's like a small virus.

Glad to see even more newbies are chiming in and helping other newbies learn the niche marketing game. That question is catching up with

Make money online niche is easiest if you know what you are doing... However really desperate niches with people looking for a problem they are desperate to solve. If you can provide that demand you can really make a killin'

Thanks for your suggestion. But I feel there is too much of competition in this niche. I think that this niche is over saturated.

The easiest way is focusing on Digital Products Niche as I am doing. Digital Products like (E-Books, MP3, Online seminars, software download, etc...) has following advantages if you compare with niche products that need to be shipped out to a customer address:

    - No delivery fee
    - Money Back Guarantee costs almost nothing.
    - Scaleable Business
    - Duplicateable Business (make some affiliates)
    - Only one time investment (make videos, audio, etc....)
    - Fast and fully automatic business model possible
    - Very flexible, as you can build up your business everywhere in the world
    - Low cost to provide the product -> but high sales price possible

... there might be some more advantages and many niches that fit to digital products ...
but I think that are the most important ones

Depends on the type of niche that you are looking to get into. Like fitness products, recruiting, etc, there are tons of different products in general.

      I TOTALLY disagree:

Generally speaking, selling MMO info when you yourself haven't made a dime online is a very bad idea. It's out of integrity.

HOWEVER, if you're not teaching it yourself or making false income claims, you can sell someone else's MMO info as an affiliate (assuming THEY have made money online) with integrity.

But the MMO niche is extremely crowded and can be difficult to be successful in. It's not an easy niche to break into.

There are plenty of niches where people have been successful for decades, long before the Internet. (Remember, the Internet is just a medium. It's not a business in and of itself.)

You can focus on a niche like:

      1. Fitness/weight loss
      2. Dating
      3. Parenting
      4. Cooking
      5. Pet care
      6. Writing and publishing
      7. Etc.

There is no one "best niche" for an online business.

In short, any niche that people have made money in before will generally be successful online. The key is to pick something that you're interested in and know something about. It's generally a bad idea to pick a niche strictly based on income potential.

You're going about this rather backwards. What are your interests and skills? What are you knowledgeable about?

      Start there.

Also, don't think you have to sell info products or digital products. There are people making a killing selling physical products using Amazon and eBay.

So, what are you interested in? What are your skills? What are you knowledgeable about?

      Hope that helps!

Thanks Michelle for valuable piece of advice.
I appreciate your point of view and totally agree that choice of niche should be made based on one's interest rather than income potential.

Your post has also eliminated my myth of 'best niche' in online business.

I request you to put your point as a separate thread. It would be of great value addition to the newbies and clear their misconception on choosing the niche.

The niche that I found to be the easiest for me when first starting out was anything related to new parents. It has some desperate sub-niches such as How to deal with a colic baby, or How to potty train.

Marketing for it would be as easy as setting up a simple page with Weebly, and joining some facebook groups to promote your site.

Common FB groups to search for would 'new mommies', 'colic babies', and stuff along those lines.

For more ideas on niches to start out in, I'd just do a simple Google search for 'desperate niches' and 'passionate niches'. Those are where you're going to find your "hungry buyers".

Whatever niche you choose I have two bits of advice for you.

First piece of advice ~ cheap shared hosting sucks. Brands like GoDaddy, HostGator, Bluehost, Dreamhost, iPage, FatCow, Unified Layer, etc. They all suck.

Why? They take your money for a year with a 'cheap' offer, and then when you get hacked ~ and you will get hacked ~ they simply don't care whether you stay or you leave.

Not only that, but their servers run so slow because they are so oversold, you can never get a site on one of them to be highly ranked by Google.

Its up to you of course, but why start out the wrong way when for a few bucks more you can do it like a professional.

Website speed has a huge effect on SEO. ‪‬‬When you have a fast WordPress web-server, not only will search engines reward your sites by sending more visitors; the conversion rates are far higher for sites that load faster than their slower competitors

Second piece of advice ~ check out my sig and grab my super-fast server offer.

    Terence.

    Vikram,

The IM niche has various sub niches. If you are starting out i'd suggest go for information sharing/selling.

There are a bunch of people out there who don't know how to set up a website, autoresponder, sales page, sales funnel...etc. Since you are starting out you yourself would be learning these things and you can sell your learnings to others from your own experience and gain credibility.
