Hello,

I want to get started and been reading the forum. I understand that there is 3 ways of making money online.
1.Sell service
2. Sell a product online
3. Or have member site.
Obviously you have to pick a niche . Once a niche is pick you created a blog or web-site . Market the web-site by SEO and other ways???
Offer free product to attract members and create a list. By creating a list you have your client base to send out free stuff or paid stuff right?

I know I'm missing other steps but that's pretty much in a nut shell.

Those 3 pretty much sum it up but as far as getting traffic I noticed you mentioned SEO and other ways. I would switch that around to other ways and SEO. Let SEO be the gravy but don't put all your effort on SEO because you can lose your traffic overnight with a simple algorithm change. You want to learn how to get traffic using other methods like social marketing, ppc, solo ads, classified ads, article marketing, and other methods. Let SEO be one of them so that you don't lose your business overnight.

It's all about having a business plan.

No matter what you do, make sure that your business plan is feasible.

If you're not sure if it's feasible, you need to conduct more research.

And... Once you have a solid business plan? You'll know your next course of action.

So... Focus on developing one until then.

The steps you listed are the technical steps. However, simply following those will not guarantee that you will make money.

There's lots of other steps involved including the human aspect, what are you selling and who is your target audience? Would you consider buying the product your'e selling if somebody else was trying to sell it to you? Make sure you are putting out quality products, or at least affiliate marketing quality products. Additionally, just having an email list won't guarantee profits. You will need to make sure you treat them well, figure out what they like and don't like, and tweak your list as a result. Additionally you will definitely have to give them lots more free content over time than just the initial free offer.

And as mentioned above definitely have multiple traffic sources.

If it were that easy everyone would be doing it.

Yes, they are a very simplified version of the steps you need to take but there is a lot more to it than that.

But don't let that discourage you. Keep things simple when starting out.

Include Social Media in your plan as well. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. are great ways to get traffic in addition to SEO. It takes work, but traffic from social media can be pretty high quality.

Definitely keep things simple and once you have chosen your business model, stick to it and don't get side-tracked. It's all too easy to succumb to shiny object syndrome.

Find a mentor, or follow someone using a similar business model and watch what they do and emulate it without plagiarising.

Keep testing and tweaking, and focus!

You named a lot of methods you can use to grow your business in a couple of sentences. I suggest you start with the basics first before thinking about all of them at once.

Why not start with picking a niche, and getting the basic tools you need for your business such as hosting and autoresponder. Then learn about wordpress, upload a blog to your server and start adding some content on your blog.

That would be a first start in taking action.

If you know how to do seo properly its ok but I would get an seo service like link emperor to help with the backlinks so that you will have more time to take care of your marketing campaigns and scale bigger by investing back in paid ads like solo, facebook ppc, ppv etc.

There are millions of ways to make a million in this industry and having a system setup, collecting email list, having low ticket front end affiliate product and back end high ticket affiliate products within your custom sales funnel.

You can even create your own products once you understand the demand or problems of your market, then create a solution to this problem.
