Getting Traffic To My New Site

Hi folks,

I have finally launched my new site in the social media managment niche.

I am obviously looking to get traffic to the site. The CPC is quite high over £7.00 so would be quite expensive mostly from the software companies as opposed to agencies.

I am looking at banner advertising on business websites at the moment where the rates are around £150/Month with good traffic. Does anyone have much experience in this sort of advertising?

Obviously I am doing our own social media campaigns as well but that takes time to build a following.

SEO will be done at some stage.

Would solo ads be worth a shot in my niche?

I guess I am just looking for any other ideas I might have missed with regards to getting traffic?

    I don't think you have the ability to PM as you have just one post so quote your website then we can
    think of it , but generally getting traffic to new sites can be done in many ways like "Press Release"
    , video marketing through "youtube/google videos/metacafe etc" , guest blogging on releated blogs/forums
    , Reddit/Stumbleupon/Digg (bookmarking) sites , advertising in your signature at forums , classified sites
    like craiglist,backpage,wso classified ads section. Many possibilites are there but dont over do it (in the initial stages) because
    google may ban your site.

    Solo ads are not worth it for this niche.

    You were right about banner and business ads. You can look for some related to your business here

    You pretty much know what you need. SEO, social media, and business ads. You can also do offline marketing by going to business showing them what you have to offer.
