Landing page recommendations

I need a site which has some creative flair and was going to do it on WP but would prefer a landing page since it's about a new book. Any ideas? I don't want a boring layout, it has to allow some creativity and customization.

    My recommendation would be go to Google images and search landing pages. Then go through all of the images and find the type of landing page that catches your eye. Then take that image to an HTML coder and ask them to create something similar for you. This way you know you will be getting something close to what you are looking for.

    What I'm looking to do is create a site for a book which is coming out in September, but I just want to collect e-mails. However it's important that it isn't the typical landing page look. It has to be more like a 1 page site describing the story, and "enter e-mail address" at the bottom.

    Why are "WordPress" and "landing pages" apparently two alternatives, here?

    They're not comparable.

    WordPress is a content management system (from which all kinds of websites can be made, including landing pages).

    I use optimize press 2.0 to create my landing page.

    It has lots of professional looking templates and easy to customize (don't really need high technical skills)

    Another option is go to fiverr.com. There are lots of freelance designers willing to create a unique landing page for $5.

    Before you order, please check the following:
    • Seller's portfolios - Different designer has different style, choose the one that fit yours.
    • Seller's ratings - Personally I prefer level 2 & top rated sellers
    • Customer's feedback - You'll know the seller's overall performance by looking at customers review (ie: seller's delivery timing - always on time or late, respond time, quality of his work...)
    • Seller's number of transactions - more better, this shows that this seller is experienced
