An Advice On Getting Affiliates

Is the affiliates section here in the forum any good?

I checked it and there are some threads that have massive amount of eyeballs but no replies to the thread. And almost all of them have little to no hits without a single comment.

So I figured it would be a waste of time advertising for an affiliate program there. Would my assumption be correct?

Some suggested that I go back to listing my stuff in JVZoo and Warrior but what usually happens is that most of the affiliates (auto approved) send junk traffic (i.e. traffic exchanges) and it just ruins my conversion.

I know that 7% conversion rate for a front end product may not be much but then again, I don't want to make it any lower than it should be.

Oh and I know that the main goal is still the ROI so the conversion ain't that much of a problem but I just hate that it messes up my tracking and analysis.

It is all relationship building... And the more targeted the better.

We've managed a few affiliate programs, one has done nearly a quarter of a million in revenue... Our 'trick' to getting affiliates was to do a bunch of research about niche sites that had similar target markets with ours, that also ranked well.

Then, reach out and start a conversation...

If you think about it... They have traffic and want money, you have a converting product and also want money.

When you reach out, be sure to keep the conversation about their site, traffic, how much they can make, etc. Way too often affiliate program managers will spam out emails about 'My product does this, I've been in business for this long, I'm the industry leader in XXXX etc' and affiliates are quick to trash those kinds of emails.

It is simple relationship building... So, find the people in the positions (top of google for your target keyword phrases) who you think would be open to making a bit of extra money and start reaching out!

While I can't answer that question specifically...

I can give you some insight on the actual affiliates within this entire forum:

    They are pretty darn badass.

So I'd have to imagine you can get some great 'fire-power' from that section too

You're right. And I know that a lot of the people here are considered super affiliates.

Probably more of my concern is if it is just a waste of money/time advertising on the affiliates section.

But yeah, if only you could have those affiliates by your side (with a decent product) then you're golden.

Are you looking for affiliates to promote a software, service, or physical product? I'm certain it's either a piece of software, an ebook or a service.

For software and ebooks, nothing beats clickbank if you have an attractive commision rate. However, if they are related to Internet marketing and SEO, you'll get more sales with JVzoo and WF.

For services, well, what matters most is creating a successful WSO and this applies to products like ebooks as well. Once warriors see how successful your WSO is, they'll be keen to promote it well.
