Summer Doldrums? How are you growing your business during the slower summer months?

A quick question...

How are you continuing to grow your business in the summer?

Here is what I am doing to get this thread going:

- Focusing on strengthing my relationships with my current customer list and my ezine list.

I don't know about you, but I have over 75 follow ups in my Aweber series and I wrote many of them 4 -6 months ago. I am updating a number of these messages. I am also putting more cross-sell opportunities in my messages to my products and Clickbank products

- Updating my websites with updated images, new designs, updating my shopping cart, etc.

- Offering a limited number of coupons and 15% off sales for many of my products. I am announcing these both on the website and in my ezines.

- Offering a number of lead capture capabilites in my offlline stores so I capture more of the emails from the customers that come into my store.

It's a good bet that traffic drops off during the summer so I'm also going to ramp up either my advertising for my existing offers or create a few new ones to make up.

Both have worked well for me in the past.

Thanks Andy, I like your coupon idea.

I am working on some offline strategies in conjunction with my online efforts.

I have been organizing community events and offering to speak at Rotary clubs, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and other events that need speakers.

I try to stay focused on helping others while promoting my business. With that in mind I avoid making my speeches overt sales presentations.

I have been laying down some tracks and will also be starting a BlogTalkRadio program in the next few weeks.

Finally, I am working on a new info-product that has me pretty busy and while this effort isn't growing my business now, I believe that by creating products that add value to my customers lives I am making an investment in the future growth of my business.

The summer is a great time to build up for the 3rd and 4th quarter. It is a good idea to build new relations with the mindset you'll follow up on the 3rd quarter to do business when people get back into the business mindset.

      Thanks,

      Andy
