Will this work with Affiliates?

Hi Guys,

This is intentionally vague. It's only a concept so far. So I \won't even mention the niche.

I have tried posting this before but it doesn't get past the mods because I guess it looks an advert. It's not. I'm not sure even what to advertise yet. Sorry Mods. Bit of a nube at this.

Still working on the concept, so any ideas and suggestions would be most appreciated. Once I work out how an affiliate offer might work, I'll advertise the crap out of it in the appropriate forum.

OK, I have tried ClickBank for my online products and that did not work too well. Just lots of crappy promotion that did nothing for the brand image.

But how can this work, without a formal ClickBank type middleman? How will I pay my affiliates, how will they feel assured of payment? It needs to be risk free for both parties.

So here it is in concept level. Once I work out the details I'll advertise formally here.

I run free events, at which I make an offer. I need more people registering. But they don't pay to register. But I'm happy to pay affiliates for leads (registrations) because I know some will buy at the event.

So with no actual sale up front during registration, on what basis would I pay affiliates? For traffic to the rego page, for each registration? We use Infusionsoft so hopefully it could all be managed through that.

OK, then I'd like to do the same concept with some online info products. These range from $47 - $197. But I don't want to use clickbank. Google hit all our clickbank sites really hard.

What other system could we use that would provide suitable functionality to process affiliate orders? And I would rather have a few selected high quality affiliates, rather than leave it open to the Masses like Click Bank.

Then moving up the scale, we have some higher priced education programs. ($5,000) We only sell those at our free events so far, but it would be great to offer those via affiliates too. Has anyone managed affiliate sales of higher end products like that?

This is a well known and established (20 years) bricks and mortar business that has branched out to online products. So I need to set up a framework that is ethical, professional and works well for both parties.

Any advice or thoughts would be most appreciated, that will enable me to flesh out how this might work.

Many thanks

I guess by the lack of any feedback that this is unlikely to work as any kind of affiliate offer...

I'll see if I can 'flesh it out' a bit more and maybe try advertising in the affiliate section. But I'm struggling a bit to see how it might work. Exactly 'what' affiliates could do and how we would track and pay for that activity.

It's quite clear for a tangible 'product' but not sure how it would work for just free registrations....

Has anyone done anything like this before? I'm sure in the World of IM it must have been done many times...

I was going to say Infusionsoft, but you said you are using it. Is there a problem with it?

My two top affiliates I work with use Infusionsoft and I've never had a problem getting paid.

    Maybe I just don't know what you're asking. :-/

Hi, I guess my question is really related to the fact that because it is a free event, no one is actually paying anything to attend, therefore there is no fee to pay the affiliate.

I would have a record of how may registrations came from each affiliate, via Infusionsoft. So it would really have to be an honour system, whereby I count up the leads and pay accordingly. But that might not be acceptable to affiliates...

It is called CPA You pay for the leads.

Thanks Al, that sounds more like what I am trying to do.

Having had a quick look, there seem to be a lot of those sites around.
