Michael jackson memorial blog had that many visitors in 3 hours and over 300 comments on 1 post.

I typed in Michael jackson and he was the ONLY one using adwords.

WARRIORS this is big money for people in CPA. Put a MJ blog, site up etc.. then CPA offer for some leads.

Could be some really nice money over the weekend.

I am not into CPA myself and have way too much going on but that is a very interesting idea to make some money off all that traffic.

Yeah you could sell "The Killer Michael Jackson Diet". Something tells me un-targeted traffic like this will hurt your credit card

It is dad but true - recording companies are surely "happy" with what has happened. They just can catch up with demand.

As Robert Smith (The Cure) said once: Our record comapny would like us to die - they could sell more albums then.

      Hi Kempos,

As Robert Smith (The Cure) said once: Our record comapny would like us to die - they could sell more albums then.
Have you heard 'paint a vulgar picture' by The Smiths?

      Here are the lyrics -

      lyrics

      It's quite appropriate -

      Snippets -

      At the record company meeting
On their hands - a dead star
And oh, the plans they weave
      And oh, the sickening greed

      [snip]

The sycophantic slags all say :
"I knew him first, and I knew him well"

      [snip]

      Re-issue ! Re-package ! Re-package !
      Re-evaluate the songs
      Double-pack with a photograph
Extra Track (and a tacky badge)

      [snip]

Best of ! Most of !
      Satiate the need
Slip them into different sleeves !
      Buy both, and feel deceived
      Climber - new entry, re-entry
      World tour ! ("media whore")
"Please the Press in Belgium !"
      (THIS was your life...)

      [snip]

      At the record company meeting
      On their hands - at last ! - a dead star !
But they can never taint you in my eyes
No, they can never touch you now

Take the next star to die. You just need to look at the age and drug-use. Maybe It will take a few years, but when it happens you are ready.

Build a fan website, and make it a page rank 4 or 5. As soon as the celebrety dies you post an article.

Write a memorial ebook that collect emails. It's for the fans.

Then you can send out an email 4 times the day he/she days and realy push ringtones, t-shirts, books, cd's videos, collector items etc. The Michal Jackson movie will pop up the next 6 months.

If you have 1.000.000 crying die hard fans on you email list you are sure gonna make a few 10.000 a day for the next 20 years.

I would never do this thoug, but all the newspapers do this. It is pure evil but very monitizable.

So use your evil mind. Find a celebrity with big stardom and millions of fans. Prepare for the day he dies and become a millinaire when it happens.

Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, MJ, Chrocodile Hunter, Richard Pryor. Bob Marley. Who is next?

I fail to see why this is evil.

I too fail to see why this is evil..
I would have done that myself. But I am not just into it.
Anyway so what do guys think? Is it a hot topic to write about?
I know this is weird asking you guys what I should write about which eventually will sell.
But really I don't see any evil in it.

I'm with ya, why would writing about a dead person be evil?
As long as it makes a positive contribution (in this case: satisfies
the appetite of the (mourning) fans).

Newspapers don't do anything else -- big story on front page,
make money through advertising inside. Noone calls that evil

I think we were talking about CPA or making money out of a dead person.
I want to write a Biography or a pack of articles on different stages of Jackson's life.
And I was thinking I can sell that pack under PLR license.
I am into that CPA stuff or IM.
So I thought why not just do what I am good at, and make some $$$'s...
    So, what you guys think?

I ment that it is evil to build your business out of a persons death who is not dead yet.

Say you wrote a memorial ebook about Obama, Oprah or Eminem or someone who has a lot of fans but is still alive. Then plan for the day the person dies and be ready to fire up your marketing arsenal.

There's no point discussing what's evil or not..we are in a marketing forum..

the only thing we should be wary about is if it's legal or not.. if it's legal..go!

if it's not..better not do it..unless anybody wants their arse singing jail house rock!

if u were one of his 100k+ fans won't u make a site on him?

Yes thousands of fan MJ sites are going to pop up and each will be competing against each other and any IM marketing site on MJ. And of course there will be problems with using the MJ name. The family most likely will take action against anyone making money off the MJ name without obtaining a license from them.
