First Time Poster Long Time Lurker

Hi Everyone, This is my first time posting here but I've been reading a lot of posts here in the past.

I'm a newbie and have been doing online marketing for about 2 years now. This year I'm learning more as I am more dedicated that I was when I first started.

Anyway, for my first post, I would like to ask how to set up an affiliate program. I've searched Google many times but can only find sites that talk about the process rather than what I am looking for.

I'm looking for a program or software or anything that will allow me to have affiliates sell my product and and get their commission or notify me of their earnings so I can pay them out. I have quite a few people who are interested in joining me but I don't know how to make everything legit.

Where do I start? are there any free programs I can use?

Hi Justin. What are you selling? If it is an information product, software or anything that can be downloaded you are better joining some of the massive affiliate networks which have huge numbers of affiliates just waiting to promote products.

    Two of the biggest are:

clickbank.com and jv.zoo.com - all you need to do is set up your campaign and then let everyone start promoting your product.

If you still want your own specific software try here: www.idevdirect.com/

Hope this helps and good luck Justin

    What up Justin!

You've come to the right place, to host an affiliate program there is Warrior Plus or JV Zoo.

Clickbank too but then it all comes down to what kind of product your selling as well.

Also click 2 sell. I believe also in paypal you can set up an affiliate program as well.

I didn't see any clarification from the original poster, but I can share what I did myself. I wanted to start with a super cheap product to get my feet wet and maybe even find a few contacts, so I signed up with DigitalGoodsStore.com and linked it to my PayPal Micropayments account to keep the fees to an absolute minimum. I didn't use it myself, but they also have a way you can sign up affiliates and share the profits and it all happens automatically through PayPal. There are NO monthly payments, so I can feel less pressure until I learn more and gain confidence, which is happening very quickly.

Your concern is a good one. 2 great affiliate applications that can meet this criteria are:

    1) Paydotcom

    2) 1shoppingcart

I love them both. Paydotcom have affiliates ready for you already, but 1shopping cart will require you to do some hunting to recruit more affiliates into your affiliate program. Will have to do some marketing with that one.
