Hey warriors. Just looking to spitball a small list of niches (saturated or not) that relate or play on peoples passions or emotions. Things like sports teams, gun rights, etc. I've come up with a few but can't seem to come up with many more so Im just looking for a few suggestions. Thanks!

Head over to the supermarket or nearest magazine rack... you'll get all the ideas you could possibly want just from looking at the magazines.

You could cheat, and run over to magazine.com, and look there as well. Take particular note of the titles of the inside articles that are posted on the cover. What do those titles appeal to?

Find pain niches. Anything where people are desperate for a solution. Look for anything embarrassing. The type of things that people would rather purchase online than be seen buying at the store.

Besides what others have already said, the bulk of passion niches fall under what I call the 3 E's ...

      ... Eating, Entertainment and Economics
      .

Remember the 3 E's and you can't go too far wrong when it comes to passion niches.

No it's not. Anyone following that advice either won't be in business for long or they haven't been in business long enough to realize how wrong that statement is. Follow the desires of the market...not your own desires. If they happen to connect with each other, then you're very fortunate...but the reality is much different from that fairy tale of following your passion. #realitycheck

Focus on 1...not a whole bunch. If you can weave a few together then awesome. IE conspiracy theorists are usually interested in survival stuff and/or new age hippy bullshit.

Honestly never heard that one. I always rely on Health, Wealth, and Relationships....with Entertainment following close behind.

          The 3 E's

Most people are passionate about their ...

          Eating
          - People gotta eat. But there's multi-millions of people on the globe whose passionate about their food, beyond just survival. Look at all the Food network shows, websites, books, etc. that sell year after year, no matter what.

Entertainment - There's a reason why most entertainers get paid more than the President, Doctors and Teachers. Because people spend more on entertainment than getting the President elected, medical exams or education.

Economics - People will always want to know how to make more money, save more money and preserve their money.

Hmm! I wish you could have told that to the people below before they screwed their lives and businesses up following their passion.

That's more of a problem niche ... than a passion niche. Although solving problem niches is still where most of the money is made.

Someone mentioned a magazine rack, but visiting a local bookstore or looking at one online will give you any number of ever-green niches you can use.

There are always going to be people looking to get help for their health, their finances or their life in general.

Are you saying that you're looking for profitable niche markets? If so, here are a few:

    dating
    weight loss
make money (shouldn't be the first niche you go into)
sports (i.e. golfing, really popular one where people spend lots of money)
    fashion
    learn spanish
    pet care
    learn guitar
    toys
electronics...and many more. If you're asking about how to find out what motivates people in a particular niche to buy, this requires getting to know the people in the niche. Forums are really good for this. The first niche that I ever went into related to what I majored in while in college, so connecting with the audience was quite easy for me since I was an actual consumer in the niche.

    Good luck,
    Joey

Don't go for anything generic. For instance, if you are interested in the dating niche, don't specialize in general romance or dating tips. Instead, try for a very rare or unique angle such as a blog that solely targets guys who are always unlucky at love, such as people who constantly strike out. You would have a built in audience with this one, not just on your blog but with a matching Facebook page.

Thanks for all of the info guys! I was just looking for some brainfood to get my thoughts rolling and this helped a lot. I'm figuring Ill go with a niche in which I am a consumer in that way I can "solve" my own problems or needs which will in turn help others because theres no way that I have a unique want or need, theres bound to be others who are experiencing similar feelings.

Choose a passion- or problem niche which is evergreen. For example:
    - How to play violin
    - Magic Tricks
    - Hiking
    - Organic Food
    - Wine Making
    - Pregnancy
    - Saltwater fishing
and so one. Be creative and note everything on a list.
Choose a niche, your are comfortable with.

Pain is great. The more painful the more they need help. And hate to say it, but shame is good also. Have herpes? Guaranteed you're online looking for solutions and not asking friends. Same goes for anything embarassing, anything that makes people unattractive or makes them admit they need help (think men and dating advice). Lots of potential.

Any lucrative niche that you can provide something new to customers. This is the only way to compete in high competitive markets.
