Asking affiliates to promote my kindle ebook. Is it possible?

Hello Warriors,
Here's a quick update on my situation:

I will be completing my first eBook pretty soon. And I will try and use all the major platforms for eBook distribution such as kindle, nook and iBook. I know that I have to market my product effectively by gathering reviews of it. But there are few things that bother me at this very moment.

1. Can I ask affiliates to promote my kindle ebook?
2. Places where amazon affiliates hang out?
Or.
Where do I find amazon affiliates promoting ebooks?

    I recommend you go to facebook and join the all the groups related to kindle and ebook publishing and share your book in return for testimonials. drop your price to the lowest possible price point and ask them to buy the book and review it to push you up the ratings

    Yes, but Amazon commission-rates for affiliates are very low (between 4% and 8.5%), so it's far from easy to interest them in promoting a book. If you're looking for affiliate sales of a digital book, affiliate networks like ClickBank may turn out to be much more suitable for you?

      I thought amazon must be giving higher commission for promoting ebooks (given that they are intangible). But it appears to be different.

      Sorry for my ignorance.

      So, clickbank or jvzoo are the only options that I have.

    If your ebook is going to be priced @ $9 or below, if I was an affiliate getting paid $1 from amazon per sale I would not promote it unless I could sell 1000's of the book for you.
