Alaister,

Is there anything in place yet when members can see where their banner ads.are in the placement cue

Or.... it still a constant wait and see situation?

    Glen,

I don't think that there is such place.

Once there is an opening, then your banner gets approved for you to pay the fee and get it up and running.

Usually, it takes a week or two if the forum is really busy with other marketers getting their banners up.

You would be better off to buy some solo ads and use pay per click to get the traffic rolling.

I don't think they would do that since I am sure it's not always a first in first served deal. I am sure those advertisers whom they know will renew over and over again get priority treatment. That's what I would do if running those ads.

      Hi Glen and Will,

Right now it is a first in first served system. You basically upload your banner and make the payment. Your banner gets scheduled in at the next available time.

So how will I know my banner is actually running?

Do I just have to keep refreshing the forum page to know?

If I only booked an insertion for 1 day, I could easiliy miss seeing it

You should be tracking your banner with some form of tracking and so you'll see the clicks. But other than that, just refresh. It won't take long to see your banner if it's running.

Before Freelancer took over you used to be able to click and see all the banners that were running but they have removed that feature for some reason.
