Amazon Affiliate Conversions Down?

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if any other Amazon affiliates have noticed a decrease in conversions this month so far. I'm getting the same amount of clicks, if not more, but very little conversions, most days 0 conversions Perhaps this is an August phenomenon?

Thanks for reading.

Yea, me neither, but last month was my highest converting month so far and I'm getting more traffic to my site in the last couple of weeks so I was expecting my conversions to increase, not decrease I've no choice but to just wait and see if it's just one of those unpredictable fluctuations that happens sometimes...I guess

    That could be the case.

There are times during the year where sales go down. December is one of them in the work at home niche.

You could be right. Looking at Google trends for my main keyword, searches tend to dip slightly after July to October before peaking in November and December. Hopefully that's the case. I'm fairly new to being an Amazon Affiliate.

Does anyone know a better way to check trends for your niche beside Google trends?

      Thanks for the replies!

I am also getting a lot less in commissions. BTW, the new button
[shop now] sux! It is like the worst even. What happened to the good buttons any way. Oh yes, I do blame amazon. Maybe it is a stunt to keep people from ordering from affiliates as my conversions are poor. Does any one understand what is going on. Hard to get a response. Yeah, it is one company spanning mess.

I am monitoring it for the month of August, also. If the trend continues, it could definitely be on Amazon! The other explanation is a change in their cookie policy, looking for that.

Could it be something related to the season maybe?
I think it really depends on the product. I have a friend that owns a website about really expensive products. With the commission from 2-3 sales a month he's making more that his other 3 websites combined. In the last 30 days though, those few "high-ticket" sales he was counting on, never arrived.

But on the other hand his traffic fluctuates a lot also.

July and August are our slowest months in all our businesses. Whether that be Amazon or domain name sales or info product sales.
