If you know your market well, then you know the high trafficked sites in your niche. These are the best affiliates you will find and these are the hardest relationships to foster.

Find who has the traffic in your niche and get to know them. I wouldn't suggest straight out and out promote my stuff kind of emails to them. Build a relationship with them, or advertise on their sites.

Nothing gets my attention more then someone advertising on one of my sites. I am much more inclined to hear what they have to say.

I throw out a dozen JV requests a month because the people sending them mean nothing to me personally.

Advertising is an idea I am going to implement too.

What about sending gifts if you have more information about the JV partner and did a background check? Then you just insert your business card and a small letter:

However, I think we are all in IM for the same reason...and that is money

In affiliate marketing, most of the sales will come from only 2% of your top producers and the others will barely deliver one now and then. So recruit your super star affiliates, go for those people with proven track records of affiliate success, rather than trying to recruit people who are 'just starting out' in the affiliate marketing business. And, obviously you will find these people on big name affiliate marketing and internet marketing forums.

If the product is not IM related you won't be finding niche super affiliates on any IM board. These people usually run their sites completely oblivious to the fact we exist.

As an example. A vintage wedding blog I advertise on had little idea about affiliate marketing when I contacted her. She had close to 1 million visitors a month and was relying solely on paid advertising to cover her sites expenses and pay her a wage.

Affiliate marketing to her was something scammers did.

Your best bet is to make contacts in your niche, build relationships.

Don't bother mareting unless you have got a load of great affiliate tools ad resources for your affiliates. People like things handed to them on a plate.

As for promotion, I'd say muncheye

You can start selling your product yourself and then when you get customers, make your affiliate program a part of your back office where you give your customers the ability to download your product.

Many very successful program owners do this.

The best way to get Great Affiliates for your Great Product,

“If a man can write a better book, preach a better sermon, or make a better mousetrap than his neighbor, though he build his house in the woods, the world will make a beaten path to his door.”
You have to ask all the right questions, test the market, be completly sure that what you are delivering is so superior and delivers so convincely that the value of the product will be so over the top that your biggest problem will not be If you have affiliates but which affiliates you will allow to promote your product.

I have the same question too. Also new to affiliate marketing. I have a new product which I'd like to sell via affiliate marketing. How can I get it in front of affiliates ? Isn't there a website where I can advertise my proposal?

Launch your product on JVZoo & WSO. If it is a good quality product + have good sales copy, you must able to sell at good EPC (Earning Per Click). After few days, you will start getting affiliates behind your product as EPC is the most critical metric that affiliates do look into.

Alternatively you can network with affiliates in facebook groups or post in "Joing Venture" section for some partners/affiliates.

    Good Luck with your efforts.
