distribute free PDF

Hi,

I've written a free report (PDF) that users get when they subscribe to my list on my website. It's about fixing a certain health problem.

I was wondering if there are other places that I can distribute the PDF to, so that it gets more exposure. It doesn't matter if I don't get people's email address in return.

I'm going to allow affiliates to rebrand it and give it to their lists and on their websites, blogs etc. so I know about that strategy already.

Thanks for any advice.

      Ehem..

      This may be getting a little off topic, but I see this type of thing mentioned enough that I wanted to bring to peoples' attention that there are not 72,000,000 search results for "free content submission sites" and the number of results that Google reports for many searches is far off from the number of results that are available.

      It says, when I search that phrase, that there are "About 73,600,000 results".

      Now I have my Google preferences set to show 100 results per page, and when I click the little pagination links at the bottom of the search results, I can only click through to the sixth page of results.

      So if Google does have "About 73,600,000 results" for this search phrase, it's actually showing less than 600 of them (6 x 100).

    You should create an opt in page so that you can send this PDF to your list.

    To get the most people subscribing to it, I would go with paid ads.

      I'm already doing this. Looking for other ways to get more exposure to the report.

    You can post it on a Reddit sub, Scribe, SlideShare or other social media platforms.

    The problem is that free reports often get overlooked nowadays because many have used and abused this way of marketing. From my own experience, people who download free content, in the majority of cases, do nothing with that content. I've noticed it more so with free reports over things such as videos, etc. I guess people download it with the intention of reading it some time, and never get around to doing it.

    If I were you I would instead create a short 2-3 minute video giving away the one biggest tip from that ebook. People want information that is easy to consume. So give them the biggest 'aha' moment and make it quick and easy to digest. People will get way more value from that than an ebook they download and never get around to reading.

    Simple funnel looks like this:

    Optin Page > Sandwhich page (with easily digestiblee free content) > Sales Page

      Don't forget to make it a fun and entertaining video that keeps them on the edge.....cliffhanger....making them want to buy whatever is going to be on that salespage.

    If you are going to be giving away a pdf then you might as well setup a squeeze page to get their email address in the process.

    If it's possible break up your report into smaller sections and make video's that would be great too. Get a few days worth of follow up emails out of it, build up a better relationship with your list so you can promote something to them.

    DennisRay's point is well taken.

    If you are merely trying to spread information about this health condition as widely as possible out of the goodness of your heart, then getting others to distribute the report is a good idea.

    But if you want to make some money out of this, then you should have some mechanism in the Free Report to either make a sale or get people to opt in to your list for more information.

    If you are selling something, do you have an affiliate program? If you do, it would make sense for people to distribute your report with a strong call to action to buy your product and with THEIR affiliate ID embedded. That would give them a real incentive to actively spread the word.

    I do exactly that with the Internet Marketing Library to which marketers can contribute their lead magnets. The only requirement is that I become their affiliate.

    I like to offer subscribers my free ebook and allow them to offer it to their subscribers (if they want to). You should do the same, and also consider the following:

    1) Submit to free ebook sites

    2) Promote on youtube

    3) Post a free WSO

    4) Make it brandable for affiliates (like you mentioned)

    5) Market it as a part of your affiliate program
