If a host domain limits a hard drive space could that be good only for 1 month?

I have my other website - domain registered that I wanted to transfer to other host domain, but I have noticed that some other hosting gives a limit of an space. Like for example $5 dollars monthly they will give you a limit of 10GB.

Is that usable only for 1 month, and for the next month it should be reset? And for example if it is consumed before 1 month would that meant you cannot do anything on your website?

I need clarification for this from the expert. Please give your know how.

I don't know if I'm understanding your question 100%.

But, if the host says you have 10GB of space - that's how much you have. I don't know what you mean by "reset" - You won't have 10GB month one, then 20GB moth two, and 30GB month three...nor will the host clear your current 10GB.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the question is really about the bandwidth.

Web hosting that advertises a given bandwidth means that during the entire month, that's how much you have to work with. Each month it will be the same amount.

  To the OP. Hard drive space means the space your files are taking up at any given time. Bandwidth, on the other hand, is the volume of data (upload and download) that is used by your site's visitors. It is reset to zero at the start of your billing cycle.
