    This is a very interesting and needed topic. I'm surprised more people haven't responded to it. Because we're in a global economy and a global industry, online marketing. Being able to navigate through the "cultural minefield" is a growing and essential skill to have.

    I live in one of the most culturally diverse communities on the planet, southern California. Businesses who survive make that one of their top priorities. The businesses who have a one size fits all mentality is going the way of VCR's and Leisure suits.

    To me, that's a good thing, I'd like to see a little more diversity in the boardroom of companies a little more similar to the people they market to.

    And as the article said, many still confuse Evaluating with communicating when it comes to cultural differences. Still stereotypes die hard. But at least the conversation is open, thanks to economic reality, so hopefully it will improve along with time.
