Hello Warriors!

I need some help, I want to create a website for a large company, and I want to use WordPress. I know it is a blog platform, but I have seen some really nice wordpress sites that have been customized to suit a company's website.

What themes and plugins will I be needing to accomplish this?

I'm looking for something like this: http://www.studiopress.com/demo/corporate.html How on earth did they make that slideshow thingy?

The themes at StudioPress are one of the best for Corporate websites.

I use that theme you mentioned all the time and it is great. The support at the StudioPress forums is top notch and you can easily customize the site to your likings.

Really? So it is very customizable? is it worth the $60? I need a totally different color scheme, can I do it with that theme? The problem is the color of the pictures can't be changed, so I don't want to pay $60 for something that I have to modify from the start

In my opinion it was worth the money. I actually bought the unlimited, all theme, package.

It comes in black and blue to get started. You can change the entire header if need be. The themes are pretty easy to customize if you know about Wordpress and what makes it tick.

Not sure what exactly you need to accomplish though, so there may be better options out there for you, but this ine does a lot.

I hope that helps and if you have any additional questions, just let me know.

    Hi there,

That StudioPress theme looks great - I do agree!

Here's a suggested list of plugins broken into various categories: SEO related, Security related, Reader stickiness and community related and admin related. They're the plugins I generally use on new WordPress sites:

I do like that theme you linked to but in case you want to look around a bit further, there's a few WordPress theme sites at the bottom of this article:

    Cheers,
