Can I write articles this way?

I've heard that you cannot write articles on ezinearticles and have them linked to a sales page. From what I've been told you have to link them to a landing page and then on to the sales page. But what if you just put down the website URL and not an affiliate link because it is your product. Would this be "legal"? Sorry if this is a stupid question, just trying not to spin my wheels in the wrong direction.

You could do that. You are allowed to link to a page that you "own" or "control".

One thing to keep in mind though is, for instance say your product name is "free online traffic" and your url is freeonlinetraffic.com you can expect to have some articles declined because they do not allow your URL name in the title of the article.

You can always link to your OWN sales page, just not an affiliate link.

Thanks Jeremy, so even if it is a sales page I can still link to it because I own it? Just want to make sure I fully understand.

Yeah, even if you don't own it you can still link to a sales page by doing a redirect from your own Top Level Domain Name.
