There are too many sites out there already about the generic niche of vegan lifestyle. Maybe you could try something more specific, such as 'pregnant vegans' or 'vegan desserts', 'vegan meals for children' or 'vegan clothing'.

The term "vegan" refers to a loose collection of individuals who abstain from the use of animals, particularly in their diets. These people are not a niche.

As Johnny has pointed out, if you want to market to this audience, you need to position your business and product to address some need or desire among vegans that is currently unmet.

Don't think of a niche as the people (the audience) - rather the niche is the hole in the market that you are going to fill.

Yes, there is definitely money in most markets if you fill the right niche.

Maybe you are referring to the vegan diet niche. Surely it is a highly-sought product. You should align yourself with Nutrition and Weight Loss niches if you are building on something.

Even with vegan diet as a keyword, there are over 12 million entries on Google search for that term. And, most of the entries on the first few pages are from authority sites which will be hard to compete with. To really get a foothold even in 'vegan diet', you would have to redefine and go very specific.

Again this is where having a site that only caters to individuals in a specific sub-niche group would be useful such as 'vegan desserts for diabetics'. Also, considering how many vegan recipe sites there are now, you might go for a unique angle such as 'vegan recipes to boost the immune system."

Most vegans are looking for some health advantage from their chosen food lifestyle, so play up those benefits on every page.

There is a TON of money in this niche, but like Christianity, if you're not a true believer, it's doubtful you'll do well with it. If you are though, go for it! Also look at the subsets like raw foods.

I see tons of fake Christians, aka televangelists doing insanely well. It's just a matter of research. Btw David remember me?

    well,

are you a vegan or are you someone trying to make money off of vegans and don't care about the vegan lifestyle at all .

vegan will spend a lot of money for stuff .. so if you want to put out real products that are vegan friendly ..

the vegan i have dealt with are very evangelical though ..and overly aggressive.and there are a number of people already serving them information .

but they will pay a good amount of money for organic vegan friendly foods

This is so true, especially with lifestyle choices such as vegan. The vegan lifestyle is not just about eating fruits and veggies and shunning animal proteins. There's an entire philosophy that goes behind these beliefs and the vegan adopts them body and soul. Vegan lifestyle is not for the dabbler and someone trying to sell information or products to the vegan has to be a convert too.

My wife has a few vegan books on Clickbank and Amazon. You really need to know the audience and decide which "favor" of vegan you want to cater to.

Like many groups vegans are broken into several sub niches and many are almost militant against the other. It's a thankless niche for that reason. Someone is always complaining

Honestly if we are talking vegan diet I would focus on trying to help vegans eat out. This is a VERY difficult task. Having a site that lists out their options, who's vegan friendly, how tool address people who don't understand the life style etc.
