I suggest you read Ebay's TOS carefully before you start spaming their links all over the net.

Agreed, Definitely read eBay's TOS very carefully. Congratulations on getting in. That is an accomplishment in itself. Most EPNer's I know use banner advertising.

I've read that sending traffic that doesn't convert will hurt you. Using the script generator to show realtime items is probably a good idea as people who click that will probably buy. Only problem is that adblock blocks it unlike text and picture links.

Craigslist would be a horrible place to promote. Follow the rules. Maybe try creating your own site and building traffic to it.

The best thing you can do if you have any questions as to where you are allowed to promote is to get in contact with Ebay directly. Their customer service will be happy to help you out with the questions you have.

As far as the effectiveness of advertising on craigslist... I'm not too sure. You could do that, but maybe point it to your own site/blog with a banner or tower ad on the side.

You can't treat Craigslist like your own personal free advertising space. Many people are very happy to click the report button on Craigslist. So it's not a spam site. If you are selling a local service or product, then Craigslist is the way to go as that's what the site was intended for, to advertise this type of thing. But for affiliate products such as items you find on Ebay, you'll have less luck and end up with a banned account.
