Clickbank payment question

Hi Warriors,

I have two newbie question,

1) I have my website running, my sales page , product etc. I make people pay with paypal. I want to sell my product on clickbank so affiliates can promote it. I'm wondering if I can still use paypal if I go on clickbank?? How are the affiliates going to get paid? I thought clickbank would do that.

2)I want to build a list. Is there a way I can capture the emails from people who buy so it goes on my Aweber directly without a sign up form?? For exemple : when they buy they pay with paypal and then it send their email to my Aweber??

I know, these are real newbie questions but i will send you a virtual beer if you help me

Yes! Sure you can you use PayPal while you are on Clickbank payment option. They will pay the affiliates payments. Now comes to your second question. Actually you have to create a short form to grab your user emails before sending them to the order form. I hope this will help you.

This isn't necessarily so, Vishwa. It can be done without that. (And should be!).

(And a ClickBank vendor trying to do it that way would be losing some of the potential affiliates.)

ClickBank takes PayPal payments from customers (even though it doesn't pay vendors by PayPal). ClickBank is a retailer, not just a payment-processor. Customers there are buying from ClickBank, not from the vendor.

No serious ClickBank affiliate will promote a product whose vendor also has another, non-ClickBank sales page for the same product sold under the same name elsewhere. (It's a "classic payment leak"). There are 10 or 12 threads explaining why, at some length and in some detail, but without the forum's search function working, I can't find them for you as I normally do, when people ask this question.

If they fix the "search" and I can find them tomorrow, or whenever, I'll come back and edit this post and paste them in for you.

The point you need to appreciate is that if you want to list your product at ClickBank, and to attract affiliates, you'd be wise to handle your own sales through ClickBank too (even though you'll have to pay ClickBank their 7.5% + $1 per sale for them), rather than risk losing the best affiliates over a "payment leak".

Don't envisage a set-up with two different sales pages for the same product. You can do that, and some people do, but it's unwise (and they're people who typically don't appreciate that the potential affiliates they're losing, by doing that, are exactly the ones who can make most of the sales!).

    Yes, you can.

If you're using ClickBank, it makes no difference to you whether people pay by credit-card or by PayPal. They're not buying it from you. But you can still add buyers to an Aweber list, and have that automated, without them needing to opt in. Countless vendors do this.

They're not, at all. Many people have these questions. You need a vendor who does this to explain to you the technical detail of "how it works" (I can't do that: I can only tell you that it does work ), but you'll find one here, I'm sure. Good luck!
