Quick Question about links inside a guide

I have another "stupid" question - maybe someone can help me. If I have a product (guide/eBook) and I want to have affiliates help sell it for me, are they less likely to sell it if it has a link inside to another website where the customer can buy something else?

I would say no within reason. If your guide is low quality content jam packed with affiliate links they would probably steer clear. However, if your guide has great content and links out to additional helpful sources I see no reason why they wouldnt be willing to promote it. Just make sure your are only linking out to helpful and relavent offers.

Yes, unless the ebook offers the affiliates themselves some real value you will find it an uphill struggle to get any affiliates to sign up.

You can of course, offer re-branding ..ie allow affiliates to re brand with their affiliate links. have a resource section with 2 or 3 links .. allow affiliates to rebrand 2 out of the 3 - keeping one for yourself ....this model tends to work .. but even then, it may be necessary to offer up to 100 % commissions on the sale of the ebook to get affiliates interested.

Thanks guys! I love getting answers from both sides.

It's really just going to be one link that sells more of the product that comes with the guide (for when they run out) but I didn't want it to be set up as a recurring monthly subscription and I wasn't sure if I wanted to offer affiliates a percentage of those sales down the line.
