what is the best software to use?

Hi all my fellow Warriors...

I need some help. I am a novice at this and I am unsure what to do next. I have found a niche, and I don't have any website experience, so therefore I am asking all of you who are experienced in this if you can help me. How do I make the landing and squeeze page? AND what host in your opinion is the best one to go w/ for someone who is knew?

Thanks alot and God Bless!

    Robin,

Fastest and easiest way is to use a WordPress blog and pick an appropriate theme. All can be had for zero cost.

Let wordpress host it and you can avoid that hassle.

WordPress.com Get a Free Blog Here

If you are a real novice I'd recommend word press direct because the on page seo is catered for.

My only irritation at the moment is not being able to drop in some Javascipt tracking code without a big drama.

Blogs really are a great (and relatively easy) way to go -- either for entire traditional type websites or for more blog-looking sites.

I tend to shy away from building my businesses on a public host, such as blogger or wordpress.com -- too many nightmare stories about people's entire blogs getting turned off for no reason (well, it's probably not 'for no reason' but it can be difficult to figure out what happened - and more importantly, very hard to get your site/blog turned back on.)

It is almost as easy to get hosting (costs under $10 a month) and then install WordPress to your own domain name on your own hosting account.

There are a number of great domain purchasing sites, as well as tons who provide web hosting. We buy domains at GoDaddy.com.

I know HostGator provides good web hosting, and have heard the same of BlueHostSolutions. And they aren't the only ones (hence your question, I'm sure.)

You'll want to look for a web hosting company that offers 'Fantastico' -- basically does a one-click install of WordPress (along with tons of other great stuff). I just checked BlueHostSolutions, and didn't see Fantastico listed, so I'd call first if you want to use them. HostGator has it for sure.

There are templates out there for landing and squeeze pages (you often have to purchase the good ones) -- and you can also get ideas by seeing what the top people in your market/niche are using. While you definitely shouldn't plagiarize them, looking at four or five good squeeze pages (from market leaders in your niche who test their results) should give you ideas that will cut days off of your creation time.

        Welcome, and best of luck!

You need to set up a simple landing page - start with blogger or another free site.

Remember, at the end of the day you need to choose or create a product and become a sales rep for it...every thing you do is just about referring people to the sales page - that's your only job...

I agree - Wordpress is your best option. Choose a theme that suits your needs best...there are some good affiliate themes (and WP plugins) around now...

I'm using Siteground for hosting... easy-to-use interface, 1-click WP install, lots of themes included...

If you are serious about "this niche" you should get someone to install Wordpress on a hosting server for you instead of using Wordpress.com. Why? Because you will have more control over your site. And if you are planning to do some SEO (search engine optimization) to your site, then you defintelly want to host the Wordpress files on your own server.

Try Wiredtree for the hosting, their server uptime is top notch.
