Newbie Question:I picked personal development niche,Please guide how to start and get traffic.

Hello,

Please guide me how to start working on developing my site,traffic,list and posts related to niche.

Of course.

First, sit at your desk.
Then, WORK.

Kidding.

For the traffic, make a facebook account with interesting posts. Go in groups relevant to your niche. You can post on forums too about your niche. And then, direct them to your site.

For the list, easy: find a PLR product (articles pack, ebook, videos, ...) buy him/take him, and give it for free in exchange for a mail.

For the posts, I don't understand: just write articles, right?

A last hint: personal development is a niche with a LOT of people. Competition is bloody.

Yeah, it's the one with most struggle.
You have to create Epic content and then promote the sh** out of it.

There are a lot of ways for it. But start small, write a blog post and share it in various channels. But you have to find your own magic formula what works. You just can't buy a WSO here and hope it solves all your issues.

Look to create a brand that sets you apart. Target a specific segment of the niche to go after. Be prepared to spend some money on Facebook ads to grow a fan base. As Christian B said, come up with a product to give away in exchange for e-mails. If you use plr be sure to rewrite the content in your own voice. Research and gobble up all of the free training you can. Good luck and don't give up!

Method #1: Write High Quality Articles

Make sure your articles have the following components

A killer headline that grab attention.
Interesting opening sentences for every paragraph.
High quality content that contain "gold nuggets" that benefit your readers.
Strong resource box that drive readers to your site.

Method #2: Blogging

I recommend a wordpress blog with your own domain name and hosting. No third party platform.

Method #3: Forum Marketing

You need to build a strong reputation in order to drive traffic from forum because people like to do business with those they know and trust.

Post regularly to help other forum members & don't forget to Insert a signature link back to your site.

Method #4: Squidoo

Select a few keywords and create a lens on squidoo. You can produce a multi-part article series, where part 2 is only available on your blog.

T S Chan replied correctly this is the basic of the internet marketing. If you want to do some thing extra I mean advanced?. Produce series of videos on google and youtube. People love to watch videos.

  Firstly I like to say welcome to the Warrior Forum and secondly I would like to congratulate you on identifying the niche you want to explore. It can be quite challenging and time consuming if you haven't done it before.
  
  To be honest Harry784, you had some fantastic advice. I'm not exactly sure I can add to it but I will give it a go.
  
  Do you have any expierence of building a website? If not then I would recommend using wordpress. It's easy to get up and running plus but more importantly it's easy to maintain. You can certainly make it look really professional with either a free theme or a paid theme.
  
  From there you need to decide how your going to drive traffic to your website. This without doubt can be very frustrating as like many people want to see hoard of visitors from day 1. Reality is that won't happen and it will take time, however there a number of ways you can speed this up....
  
  Paying for quality clicks from people like Igor Kheifets or Zach Lee. Both have amazing track record of producing some outstanding results.
  
  Writing quality and original articles with the introduction of a few keywords. Make sure it kinds of relates to your niche.
  
  Facebook and youtube advertising
  
  Plus others
  
  The reality is that if you want quicker results then you need to invest some money. Personally I tend to go with both paid and free traffic generation to maximise my chances of making money.
  
  Now I would also dig deeper into the detail to improve my chances of being successful. One detail I like to check out is to check out my competition. I like to see what they are doing well and what miss opportunities I can take advantage of. Remember its all about creating a brand. You want people to think of you when they looking to improve themselves and their developement.
  
  The last piece of advice for now would be to.....

1. Build an opt-in page, whatever it is like. You can even use email marketing sites to host your opt-in forms online free. Like getresponse or aweber.

2. Find affiliate offers to promote on Clickbank

3. Get some traffic, and promote the affiliate offers

However, you need to be productive and motivated, You have to master this to achieve in anything

I'm really glad you said along with your job because in reality there is no such thing as true passive income... Do you honestly think you can create a site and leave it untouched for years while the money keeps flowing at a steady rate?

Is...is no one going to point out that "personal development" is probably too broad to be considered a "niche"? Why make their life more difficult?

You have to develop a following, and the best way is to write a blog with an optin page, to build a list. This is a big niche, and competition is fierce, so your content is going to have to be original and compelling

Solo Ads are the best way to get a lot of targeted traffic, that you know will already be interested in your niche, and also convert high. Just depends if you are willing to pay for traffic or if you want to spend a lot of time on free traffic, solo ads will make you money faster than free traffic. Time vs. Money
