How would you get new Australian customers

INTERNET MARKETING

We have a small natural health oriented company and our company director / author has been doing speaking tours for many years with Australia always being a very good tour (we are based in the UK). We have a new tour starting in October.

I'm looking for ideas on how to get new people in OZ to hear about our new speaking tour. Obvious ideas are things like finding health websites that will run a press release, putting up Youtube videos. These are things we always do but I want to try to super-charge it this time and bring in more new people rather than just hitting up the same customer base. (tickets are $25.00AUS when bought in advance and we also sell books and CDs and stuff at the venues)

So far most of our promotion has really just been word of mouth and has grown slowly over the years but now seems to have leveled of the last few years.

Any and all ideas will be appreciated. :-)

  I think classified ads for something like this would be poor value for money at best as you're talking about trying to grab someone's attention and get them to take action from a standing start, usually you need more than one exposure for someone to take action.
  
  Email we do now to our existing customer base but the tricky thing is getting new people. I did start casually looking at email list brokers for targeted lists. They're pretty expensive for an unknown method, soooo, still thinking about it.

I don't know what your budget is but TV, radio and newspaper ads usually help. Relevant Australian websites and forums. Use Facebook and set up a page just for that.

These are just some ideas that work. From an Aussie's viewpoint.

use facebook ads to promote it, you can literally expose to any country there.

You may want to consider FB targeted ads, YouTube video and picking relevant keywords, adword targeting your country and city.

And if you want to go offline you may use radia jingle, connect with someone in Australia from the forum, fiverr for poster distribution.

Target austraia in Google Adwords, Bing Ads or Facebook Ads?

you can geo target in Facebook and PPC you can also reach out to people in the country you are trying to target with established audiences and work out some sort of JV deal that is beneficial to them

I also understand you want knew people but don't under value the importance and power of your existing customer base, its one of the most important things you can focus on for long term success
